Vehicle Detail
A very complete project car. Appears to have been a numbers matching "S" trim car. Has an "S" front bumper and 3 deep sixes with hearts as well as Koni struts. It is originally a Bahama yellow paint code car, a very cool color for a 911. I have most parts that have been removed from this car. Fairly rare non-sunroof 911E coupe with a low production number of 26. Body by Porsche per vin number. This particular car came out of the high desert plains. It had been sitting for some time. This is a rolling restoration project. It needs some chassis work as many do of this vintage. Specifically the front suspension pan, front half of floor, longitudinal patches and perhaps inner rockers and fender supports. It also had a nose grafted on at some point. That should be re-set due to the fact that it was braised on. However, a straight forward welding project. The rest of the car inside the cabin and underneath only has some surface flash. Very solid in most areas with very decent gaps. Most of the petroleum based tar undercoating has been laboriously scrapped off, hence some surface flash. Also most systems have been removed. Fuel, brake and electrical. All parts have been stored properly and are bagged, marked and respectfully boxed. The items not included as far as I can tell are; most rubber weatherstrips, carpet, fuel supply pump, rocker deco trim, exhaust, spare wheel/tire, jack and tool roll. The pictures will show the transmission number as well as the engine number as correct for the year. The engine is disassembled and mostly complete sans the exhaust. It comes with the original period correct mechanical fuel injection system. As you know these are usually lost due to the 70's and 80's cheaper than rebuilding mech. inj. weber carb conversions. As with most restorations that are done right, the engine and most of the other systems should be rebuilt. I have most of the interior as well, with the exception of the carpet and headliner. Most items need re-covering as typical in restorations. I will facilitate in helping the vehicle to be shipped. All parts that I have will be carefully padded, boxed and placed inside the cabin or trunk of the car. However, I cannot be held responsible for the parts or the car once it has left my garage. Therefore the car is sold as is where is. The car rolls freely and should not post a large challenge to transport. As most 911 S's are priced in the stratosphere, the "E" is bound to follow due to the fact that there were fewer of them produced than the "T" and many feel their driveability is more enjoyable than the peaky "S". Currently there is a restored example on E-Bay that is up to $70K last I checked. International buyers need to use a U.S. based buyer for them to purchase this car. I will make myself available for questions, please feel free to call me; Steve at (612) 860-7771 9am- 9pm CST. Thanks and happy bidding!
