Mid-engine Tube Frame Racer I purchased this vehicle from another eBayer primarily for the VW diesel engines that came with it. The rear frame, suspension and transaxle are from an 86 Rabbit as well as the instrumentation. The front suspension is from a Porsche 914. The guy who built this, originally built it to be a lightweight high MPG road car to make his long daily commute with. It originally had a turbo diesel in it, but he sold that before I bought it. He never quite finished it, it needs some further attention to be safe and fully functional. He said he drove it only a couple of times before selling the engine out of it. Because the transaxle is from a front drive VW, you could put a gasoline or diesel VW power plant in it and make it a fun toy. It comes with the title from the donor Rabbit. Or you could part it out, which I will do if I can't sell it for what I've got invested in it. More pictures available upon request.
