I purchased this car from the 2nd owner. At least that is what I was told. He purchased it used at a local Volkswagen dealer back in the day. Drove it for a few years and ended up parking it in his mother's DRY garage for 20 or so years. I found the car on Craigslist and had to have it. Ended up buying it. Towed it to a shop and had the following done. Replaced the brake master cylinder and all wheel cylinders, battery, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel guage sending unit, removed fuel tank and had it steam cleaned and boiled, removed all fuel injectors & rails and had them sonic cleaned and tested for correct psi output, replaced spark plugs, cap/rotor and points. The car now runs, drives and stops very well. The floor boards and rockers of this car are solid as a rock! No holes repairs etc. The body is also as solid. This is NOT a bondo buggy! It looks as though it may have had some paint work here or there over the years. There are 2 small surface rust spots you can see in the pictures. The doors close better than most newer cars. I was told that the miles are actual at 38,000. This car would make an excellent driver or light restoration. With all that being said. I drove the car to my warehouse were it has sat idle. I have come to the conclussion that I will not be driving the car from time to time. So it must go. PLEASE ASK ALL QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BIDDING!!
