Vehicle Detail
MJRudden Store You are bidding on a 1999 Chevrolet S-10 4x4 ZR-2 extended cab pickup. The ZR2 off-road package essentially incorporates frame, fender and suspension changes that make the vehicle capable of clearing 31" tires in stock form. The end result is a more capable off-road vehicle. If that isn't enough, how about Lifting it 6 inches using the $2,000 Superlift kit?! (See below for details). This premier kit is considered by most to be lifting done right, making this one Bad-a$$ S-10. The H.O. 4.3LVortec V-6 fires right up, runs great and is sure to do the job for you (unless you're thinking smallblock..heheheh!). A flowmaster muffler gives it a nice rumble, plus a 4 inch fat pipe out the side gives it the diesel look. As with most higher mileage GM's that "mark their territory", it will leave several drops on the ground after driving. The automatic transmission shifts nice and smooth and the brakes of course work great. 4x4 low and high are available at the touch of a button - (no Auto 4wd), and engage with precision. It has the third door, pw/pm/pl/cruise/tilt, bed liner and sliding rear window. The paint and body are in excellent condition with not a spot of rust or corrosion to be found. The Autocheck report indicates an accident or damage event which by their definition is: Reported accidents or damage events are a result of vehicle collisions or other non-collision incidents such as vandalism or theft). This truck has all original body parts and paint, so I can only assume a break in at some point. There are a few nicks/scratches/minor dings as with any used car or truck, but certainly no eyesores. The tinted windows, bug guard, and door sunscreens do a great job of setting off the red paint while keeping the heat down. Speaking of heat, both the heat and A/C work just fine. The interior is in very good condition with no rips or heavy wear on the seats. The instrument cluster trim has the usual cracking, but the dash itself is excellent. The "Dual" am/fm/cd player has a fold out touch screen, but the stock speakers seem to be the limiting factor. This truck just had new upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, drive axle, and new front rotors and brake pads. (Close to $1,000). The tires are ready to be replaced, so we decided to let the new owner decide what will go on there. From the Superlift website: Superlift's 6" system was designed using the same proven lift method found on the full-size GM trucks. The system features heavy-duty drop brackets that lower the control arms, differential, and steering, so all the steering geometry and CV axle angles remain within factory specifications. Replacement tubular upper control arms ensure adequate shock clearance and proper alignment as well as the capability of installing the optional multi-shock system. Rear lift consists of a spring-over-axle conversion with add-a-leafs on some applications. An optional 2-piece skid plate, available in mild steel or brushed stainless steel with our oval logo, completes the system. Main Features: Brackets constructed of 0.1875" thick plate steel and/or heavy-wall tubing Heavy-duty center link maintains factory tie rod angles to prevent stud bind Dual center link stabilizing links make steering more responsive and extend pitman / idler arm lifeFull-width differential / control arm cross members provide lateral rigidity Brake hose extension brackets Front / rear anti-sway bar drop brackets and extended links prevent bar pre-loadFront / rear Superide shocks with yellow boots included Optional front multi-shock system available The 3 major price guides - KBB, Nada, and Edmunds set the private party appraisal of this vehicle between $4200 and $6000, and retail appraisal 5700-7700, with no allowance for the lift kit or all of the recent front end work. Plus, I'm not sure they take into account how rare these ZR-2's are, much less one this nice. Reserve is set hundreds below low private party. So bid high, bid early, and bid to win to make sure this awesome truck ends up in your garage, not someone elses. Or, make an offer at least in the middle of this range and be sure you take it home.
