Vehicle Detail

PRICE REDUCED!!!! 1996 Chevrolet Camaro Z28/SS. This is car number 0120 of only 2410 made for that year. These were very expensive cars for the time, base price was over $30,000. This was originally a Texas car and has never been driven in snow that I know of....this car super rust-free and runs great! This car is equipped with the SLP modified 350 engine (5.7L), Tremec T-6 manual transmission, which is the 6-speed manual. This car has a complete AutoCheck history report which shows this as a "Rebuilt/Rebuildable/Salvage" vehicle in the report. This car sustained moderate front end damage in 1998 with 58,601 miles on it and was sold as an insurance loss/salvage. Was repaired and re-registered in 2000. Runs and drives great and has been driven daily since repaired. It has had over 75,000 more miles put on it before I bought it last year, but I have it priced as a "parts car" due to its current title designation. Car has the normal "higher-mileage" body issues like chipped paint off front spoiler, faded clear coat from the southern sun, scrape on drivers door, and a small dent on the right rear quarter panel that someone pounded out with a hammer from the inside and did not finish. The fiberglass hood has a small crack at hood latch and is missing the cowl screen. The air cleaner assembly is missing the filter hold-down ring, but the rest of the SLP speciaI induction mods are there. Interior is very nice with no rips or tears, but the plastic center console has cracks and needs work or replaced. This car drives good and straight, does not smoke. Special SLP stainless steel exhaust, car sounds great! Looking for repaired damage, it looks like the header panel ahead of the shock towers was replaced from the wreck, but I'm not a body man and the history report is not that detailed. Please note, I don't want to make this car sound like a piece of junk because it definitely is not and has great potential and rarity. Engine runs great and car shifts perfectly, posi-traction works and car will absolutely boil the tires! The tires are dry-rotted and need replaced and the chrome on the non-original 18 inch aluminum wheels are rough. I originally bought this car to put the drivetrain in a Chevelle, but then realised that it is too rare to cut up a car with this potential. Selling cheap due to the mileage and issues, the parts alone from this car is worth the $3200 starting price. I may be able to deliver for a fee within a couple of hundred miles or will work with your shipper. Serious buyers can email me at z28ragtop@yahoo.com. The 1996 Camaro SS was an exciting return of the model since it was the first year of production since 1972. Chevrolet decided to bring in the help of SLP(Street Legal Performance) Engineering. Chevrolet sent SLP the Camaro Z28 for them to create the Super Sport Camaro. SLP added the base SS package options and also additional options upon order. The production of Camaro SS cars that year ended up being only 2,410. This ended up being the rarest year SS Camaro Chevrolet has offered to date. The limited production of this model meant that you could only purchase one in the following colors: Black, Polo Green, Red, Teal, and White. The SS was offered with 305 HP compared to the 285 HP of the same year Z28. RPO R7T (SS Package) was available through dealers, but was a non-Chevy modification by SLP Engineering. It included 305hp engine, special hood with functional scoop and forced induction, restyled decklid spoiler, revised suspension (coupes), 17x9" Corvette-style ZR-1 wheels with P275-40-ZR17 tires (coupes), and special badging. Other items available separately. Limited to White, Polo Green, Teal, Black, and Red. Base Super Sport Options Composite Ram Air Hood with Functional Cold Air Induction Revised Rear Spoiler Synthetic Engine, Transmission, and Differential Fluids. Upgraded Exhaust SS Badging Numbered Production Plaque Optional Super Sport Options SS Floor Mats SLP Stainless Cat-Back Exhaust System Hurst Short Throw Shifter and Leather Shit Knob (on 6 speed equipped cars) Torsen Differential Aluminum Differential Cover Production Numbers SS [Total] 2,410
