1968 Ford Mustang Coupe with 3 speed manual transmission and a 289 V8. My dad bought me the car in 1984 when I was 14 with 43,000 original miles, it had been sitting in an old barn since it had been in a rear end accident in 1971. I had the rear quarter panels and trunk deck replace and I had it painted yellow. I started to drive the car when I was 16 and only drove it in the summers and never in the rain until 1988 when I went to college after college I drove it for 2 more summers until I got married, it has been in storage ever since. The current original mileage is 59,000. The interior is all original and beautiful. All matching numbers nothing mechanical has ever been replaced. Side pipes are Thrush and date back to the age of the car. I don't really want to sell the car but at this point in the world I just can't justify keeping it. You are welcome to come and see the car if you like. I grabbed a jump pack and the engine turns over just fine, the gas is 17 years old and needs to be drained so I didn't try to start it, plus it should have some oil down the cylinders to lube it after having sat so long. I guarantee that the car runs great, it was well taken care of and always ran strong. I have no problem if the winning bidder wants it shipped I can assist in loading it. The gas needs to be drained yet though.On Jan-22-11 at 03:31:08 PST, seller added the following information: Floor pans and strut tower are in good shape, I had the bottom coated with undercoating when I got it and it has never seen rain or snow since. It was always stored in our warehouse.
