this 71 maverick has 35,000 original miles - it sat in a garage for 18 years! - just went thru the brakes and fuel system - car runs great! - brakes were re-done - all lines were cleaned, and some replaced - new hoses - wheel cylinders - springs - clips - brake shoes - and drums - all new! - put on a new master cylinder and bleed all brakes - fuel tank was dropped and cleaned, along with fuel lines - carb was gone thru, and inline fuel filter installed - car is not taged, but i did take it down the road and runs great! - i have inspected the car, and feel it is ready to go thru the inspection lanes - i would probably put new tires and a muffler on it first - it has sat for 18 years! - the body is solid, has some areas where the paint faded thru - i sanded and primered some of them - no pitting or rusty areas - there were 2 spots right behind the rear wheels that rusted thru - i repaired with metal, and put filler over it - sanded and primed. - interior looks good for the age - seat bottoms have a couple tares - lights - horn - directionals all work as they should - please email any questions - car is for sale local, so i reserve the right to end the auction early - this is pick up only - any shipping is buyers responsibility - i will help any way i can!On Jan-11-11 at 20:48:34 PST, seller added the following information: this car is not 100% rust free, but i feel it is very solid and in great shape for the age - it has a new radiator - battery - door and trunk locks - the torque boxes and shock towers feel solid when i tapped on them - rails also look good - i did take a few pictures of these areas, but did not post every picture - i can send if you email me - i hope the pictures show the car fairly well - most areas that have any rust seem to be a little surface rust - i just want everybody to know this is a 40 year old car - it is not perfect, but i think it is very nice - i'm trying tell everything i can - i have had people post negative feedback for very minor things in the past - i like happy buyers! - hope it goes to a good home!
