1981 Delorean DMC-12 The interior is clean with minor blemishes. 5 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly. A/C blows cold and still uses R12. The vehicle had been stored inside untouched for 10 years. I have spent the last 3 years working to get it running and road ready. The following parts have been replaced: · Front and rear tires · Front brakes · All lift shocks (doors, hood, engine cowl) · Fuel pump and baffle · Fuel distributor · Fuel injectors · Fuel lines (upgraded stainless steel braided lines) · Tail light boards · Brake light switch · Fuel pump relay · All other relays in the fuse box · Distributor cap and rotor · Spark plug wires · Spark plugs · Air filter · Belts · Upgraded to new 130 amp Delco alternator · Oxygen sensor · Door seals · Intake manifold gaskets · Battery Replacement parts were purchased from either PJ Grady or Special-T auto. Both are premier Delorean part suppliers. Known issues with the car: · The car runs great with the only issue being it runs rich at idle. Off idle it runs fine. · Both window motors will need to be replaced. (driver side is slow/noisy, passenger side motor/track are broken) · Rack and pinion will need to be replaced due to excessive play · Speakers will need to be replaced · Paint cracked on front bumper · A/C blower does not work on highest setting · Wheels are corroded, will need to be stripped and re-powder coated · Slight ding on passenger side behind rear wheel · Scrape marks on lower passenger door · Electric door locks inoperative · Speedometer inoperative This car definitely has potential!
