If you have been looking for that one classic Mercedes Roadster, you know the one, the all original and well cared for example that won't break the bank? Well then, you definitely need to check out this absolutely gorgeous 1988 560 SL with just 79,700 miles! Seems there are two kinds of classic Mercedes Benz's out there--The high end trailer queens that you are afraid to drive or the ones that have been rode hard and put away wet that will cost a small fortune to get right. It's not everyday you can find one like mine. Low miles combined with extremely good condition, all for a very affordable price range! I was fortunate to get this SL from a local new car dealership, freshly traded in and all ready for you to enjoy! It comes equipped with the matching hard top, (I don't think it's ever even been on the car, it's so new!), new soft top, leather interior, rear jump seat, cold air conditioning, automatic transmission, power windows, power locks, power passenger mirror, Alpine CD stereo w/original Beck cassette included, cruise control and alloy wheels with excellent Dunlop tires. I did have a qualified mechanic go through and make sure everything is up to par, so you can start enjoying it right away. It has spent most of it's life here in Florida, so no rust issues! The owner that traded in is one of our seasonal residents that only drove the car when he was here for the winter, escaping that super cold Pittsburgh weather! Hence the low miles and garage kept condition. What a super nice and clean Mercedes that does everything it was designed to do and does it very well. It's the kind I would gladly sell to a friend or family member, so that should tell you something! Inside and out, it has that clean and well cared for, garage kept look we all like to find. The Impala paint, what I would describe as a dark beige metallic, is near new and has a deep shine and color with no rust, dents or fading. It has had a high end repaint that absolutely rivals the factory finish and looks like glass! No accidents or repairs and all the door, hood, trunk and fender VIN stickers are still in place. VERY professional job, we are talking $3,000.00 plus! The Brown leather interior is fresh, clean and comfortable with very little wear and just minor aging. Not ever smoked in and ready to enjoy right away! Of course, the ride and drive is excellent with a strong engine, tight suspension and smooth shifting transmission. And with my service/safety check done and excellent tires, it's ready for any road trip or daily duty! It does have that nice and tight feel of quality and the condition speaks of a well cared for vehicle, so you can look forward to a lot more life out of this one. The soft top looks like brand new! No window fogging, it's looks like it came out of the showroom yesterday! It may have been recently replaced, it's just that nice. I did notice around the 560 emblem, you can see where the glue extended past the molding a bit and was touched up with the correct color paint. The tires are P205/65/15 Dunlops with app. 75% life left. Just look at that paint reflection! The exterior on this 560 is about as good as you could want with excellent brightwork and lens. If there was one thing I would think you may do is have the wheels repainted. The original silver is somewhat faded and scratched from age, but it would be an easy and inexpensive upgrade.         From every angle, this is one sharp looking Mercedes that anyone would be proud to have sitting in their driveway!                 Interior                    Just as good inside! As nice as you could find with very little wear! The air is cold, all the power goodies are working and the Alpine CD stereo sounds great! Ready to enjoy right away! The camera flash reflection off the carpet and material can make things look  dirty, it's not like that in person.                   I did find some age cracks in the wood trim you can see here. Also, a spider surface crack on the lower right corner of the shift console and one on the lower left corner of the air conditioning console. It does still have the original dash and typically they will crack with age. You can get aftermarket covers for around a hundred dollars or so that look pretty good, but these are such minor cracks I would leave it as is. This the only area. The optional jump seat is a great addition, especially if you have kids!                                    Tools, floormats, owners manual, plenty of keys, original cassette radio and Becker tape included!         Check out the convertible top well.... spotless!         Every aspect of this car reflects excellent care! I know you will ask, but there were no written service records with the car when I got it. Many times those are kept by the dealership or as the owners personal records. The overall condition however speaks volumes. And I do have a clear Florida title showing actual miles!         I honestly do not think this hard top has ever even been on the car. It looks brand new!         Cover and rolling cart are included!   Well, that's my Mercedes! With all that is offered here, my buy it now price should make a lot of sense! As stated before, each offering is serviced and safety checked before selling, but you are not bidding on brand new cars, so there may be parts of the vehicle that are not new. Depending on the age of the vehicle, the various systems involved will be at different levels of wear and there may be the typical tiny chips/dings, blems and other signs of normal wear, inside and out, that you would expect on used vehicles. If I have documentation to back up the mileage on these older cars, I will. Payment must be made by cash-in-person, cashiers check, money order or bank to bank wire transfer.  A $500.00 deposit will be expected within 3-5 business days following close of auction and remainder paid within 10-14 business days. According to Florida law, if an out of state purchaser takes delivery of a vehicle in the state of Florida I am obligated as a licensed dealer to collect sales tax at a rate equal to the purchasers state sales tax and not to exceed 6%. The purchaser will then be given a notarized form from the State of Florida proving tax paid to present to their tax collectors office for sales tax credit. You DO NOT pay sales tax twice! Any additional fees or taxes will be the responsibility of the purchaser. This does not apply to vehicles shipped out of state, only ones picked up in Florida. If you are going to fly in and drive home, I will gladly pick you up from the Ft. Myers International Airport and provide you with a free 30 day temporary plate for your vehicle. You must have insurance before a temporary plate can be issued. All vehicles do have clear titles and are guaranteed to be clean and free of any liens or brands such as salvage or rebuilt. Occasionally, a title will be in transit from the bank or dealership because of a loan payoff and may not be in my immediate possession, but will be processed to you as soon as physically possible.
