BUY TWO AFTERMARKET SEATS AND A STEERING WHEEL, AND YOU HAVE A FULLY FUNCTIONAL HONDA S2000 Please excuse the fact that it snowed here in NY recently and I had to take these pictures with some rather ugly, dirty snow messing up the otherwise beautiful look of this car; the pictures don't do it justice. Vehicle was vandalized. Thieves cut two small incisions (approx 2.5 square inches) into the convertible soft top, allowing them to access and open the whole soft-top roof and then open the doors. They then unbolted the two seats and steering wheel, and left the rest of the car 100% intact. I cannot stress this next point enough: Other than the fact that it is missing two seats and a steering wheel THERE IS NO MECHANICAL DAMAGE TO THIS CAR. Engine, chassis, suspension, brakes, tires, rims, windows, doors, all quarter panels, lights, stereo, gear shift, peddles, intake, exhaust, drive-train all completely intact and 100% functional and the car still starts on the first push of the beautiful red starter button (which I will miss, more cars should have this feature). THIS CAR IS A STEAL AS "SALVAGE". Most salvage cars have been in some kind of accident where the frame, axle, suspension, or other key structural elements of the car have been bent, cracked, or otherwise compromised; meaning the car will never drive the same again and could potentially be dangerous to drive as well. Not so in this case. BUY TWO AFTERMARKET SEATS AND A STEERING WHEEL, AND YOU HAVE A FULLY FUNCTIONAL HONDA S2000. I could have saved this car from being declared a total loss by my insurance company by finding cheap replacement parts myself, but I no longer find it practical to drive a 2 door roadster. My loss is your gain. Repairs needed: 1) Patch convertible top - Incisions were relatively small. Top does not need to be replaced. Estimated cost to you: 2 pieces of black vinyl fabric or 2 Tear-Aid(tm) patches and some Liquid-Stitch(tm) sealer = Less than $50 2) Replace seats - Honda original seats are too expensive anyway and not worth the money. Remember, insurance premiums are predicated on the total value of your car. Save yourself some money and buy yourself a pair of professional SPARCO(tm) or RECARO(tm) after-market seats; they look cooler anyway. Estimated cost for 2 lightly used seats = $2000 3) Replace the steering wheel - Hell, it's a sports car. Get yourself an after-market MOMO(tm) racing wheel. Estimated cost = $350 4) Clean her up a bit - the car was towed to an auto-body shop at the direction of my insurance company. It was left outside on the lot and a blizzard hit us here in NY. My poor car (soon to be yours) could use some tender loving cleaning. Fortunately, the body shop owners had the foresight to tape plastic covers over all of the convertibles on their lot as a precaution, so there is NO WATER DAMAGE. Please detail her, she deserves it. Estimated optional cost = $150 (just a recommendation) Look around Ebay and elsewhere: THIS CAR SELLS FOR APPROX $20000+ I also have a full video walk around of the car's exterior and interior which also shows proof that the engine starts.
