Vehicle Detail

1969 Chevrolet Camaro - California Car - Fully Restored (VIN 124379L509986) Manufactured at the Los Angeles GM plant. Vehicle bought from the original purchasing family living in Long Beach, CA. As such, a southern California car all its life. Fully Restored-350 cubic inch motor with automatic transmission. Fully restored with the following: Body and Paint No rust; body taken down to bare metal; lower rear window rail replaced, lower left rear quarter panel replaced (behind the wheel) and driver’s door replaced. Z-28 hood and GM trunk spoiler added. Paint is Corsica Red Ferrari enamel. Superior tolerances on all body openings completed by craftsmen at the shop. Superior body preparation prior to primer coat as witnessed by owner. GM rear spoiler added, new front and rear window glass, all rubber molding is new, new window stainless steel trim, and new door handles and side mirrors. Original CA black license plates (re-painted by expert), accompanied by new rear tail light lenses and new side marker chrome trim. New front and rear bumpers with rear bumperettes. New grill and headlight rings. Suspension Front clip sandblasted prior to painting, new stock coil springs, CPP 2” drop spindles with front power disk brakes added, all new shocks, rear sway bar added, 16” rally wheels from Wheel Vintiques (7” front and 8” width on rear), new tires on all corners, and spinner rally hubs. New ball joints and tie rod ends, vehicle fully aligned by old timer. Interior All new interior that was professionally installed by local upholstery shop (front and rear seat covers are stock Camaro). New door panels, head liner, window and door rubber, new door and window knobs and rear window deck. New carpet and insulation professionally installed. New consul with original factory consul floor shifter. Covan Custom dash with Auto Meter gauges and custom gauge wiring harness for the unit is installed. Miles of 1201 on the new odometer signifies miles since installation of rebuilt motor (See specs below). No wire splicing under the dash. New under hood wiring harness and new trunk wiring harness. Heater, vents, horns and windshield wipers operational. Engine and Drive Train Rebuilt motor by Burbank Speed and Machine Shop. Specs include: Four bolt main crankshaft block, complete valve job, surfaced heads, bronze valve guides, pocket porting intake and exhaust, and balanced. New gas tank and sending unit. Chevy piston flat top. Molly rings, new oil pump, 350 Chevy true cast, Z-28 springs, 2.02/1.6 SS valves, Isky .450/465, 214/221 @ .050 3.5 degree advance and Chevy lifters (Spec Sheet avail at time of sale). Very nice sounding and performing motor. Vehicle equipped with headers and Flowmaster exhaust system with stainless steel exhaust tips. New radiator, battery, alternator, fan shroud, harmonic balancer, fuel pump, windshield wiper motor, hood insulation, and hood hinges. Intake manifold is an Edlebrock Performer with a 600 cfm Edlebrock carb with automatic chock. The distributor is an Accel pointless version, and the vehicle was dynoed and tuned by the legendary Bob Jennings from Van Nuys, CA. Performance numbers: 270 h.p at rear wheels which computes to 320 h.p at the transmission. S. California conversion is 20% more horse power at the transmission than what is calculated at the rear wheels (You do the math in reverse). This vehicle is fast due to the work by Burbank Speed. Transmission-Rebuilt Turbo 350 by local transmission shop, shift kit added with new flywheel and starter. Transmission is very stout for this car (3-Speed automatic) with excellent shifting points. Vehicle built and driven by a 50 something guy-vehicle not abused and is considered a new car by this owner. I have owned this car since March 2002.
