Up for auction and your consideration this week is a very solid and sound 1964 Ford Thunderbird. This car was originally bought in southern California, but quickly found it's way up here in the dry climate of Wyoming. The car is mostly original. I'm pretty sure it has been repainted once. When I bought it, I had to replace the carb, add new mufflers, and added sequential turn signals, tires, and redid the brakes ( I still have the original carb ). The car drives nice for its age. A 390 with a Cruise-O-Matic powers this thunderbird and rear axle has 3.00:1 gears in the back. Oil pressure in the motor according to the gauge is a little low, but for the milage that the original motor has, it's a frickin miracle that it runs at all!! All the glass is in perfect shape but only three of the four power windows work ( passenger side rear is not working ). AM/FM radio still works. The interior is in supior shape with a few minor details. The driver's seat has a few small tears along the seams ( see pics) and the inside door panels have some cracks where you would normally rest your elbow. The head liner is in cherry condition with no rips or tears in it. There are no flaws on the dash as far as cracks and deep scratches go. This car has been taken care of and was stored by the original owner for the last fifteen years. Any of you thunderbird fans would really appreciate this car and would be a perfect starting point for anybody's restoration plans. In fact I challenge you to find a comparable car for the given starting point that is in this good of condition. This car in fact gives you a sizable head start for the money. Terms of Sale- The successful "winning" bidder is to contact the seller within 24 hours after auction's end. If the auction ends on a weekend and/or federal holiday, the next business day will be acceptable. The sellers phone number is 307.899.6642. A $500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is due and will be made by means of and only Paypal within 48 hours of auction's end. The remaining balance shall be due no later than seven days after auction's end. This will be sent by means of a bank issued cashier's check or cash in person. Once ALL fund have been cleared, a free, clear, and notorized title will be sent (certified and overnight mail) or exchanged in person along with a signed "Bill of Sale". All funds exchanged must be in U.S. Dollars. Any other currencies will NOT be accepted. The buyer is responsible for pickup and/or shipping of this vehicle. The seller is willing to let the vehical stay on the property and/or his possession for thirty days after the auction's end. If the vehical is not picked up within thirty days of auction's end, the seller reserves the right to make local storage arrangements and place the vehical in a storage unit at the winning bidder's expense. A key will be promptly be mailed to the winning bidder once storage arrangements have been made. Please make and/or plan arrangements to pickup or ship prior to auction's end.
