1987 Mercedes Benz SL560. The vehicle is equipped with ABS, AC, power windows and soft top that is in excellent shape. The car and its hardtop were separated at some point in its life. The soft top operates easily. It has a beautiful black exterior with a tan leather interior. The leather shows some wear, but there are no tears. The carpet is clean and good. Some of the wood trim is wavy and the wood on the console is cracked. There is an after-market radio in the console but I also have an OEM Becker radio/cassette that would have come in the car originally that will be included in the sale. Everything except the odometer and the electric radio antenna works as it should. The passenger side sun visor mount broke, but they are easily obtained. The odometer shows something over 35,000 miles. It is equipped with alloy wheels that look good. The tires are good. The full-sized spare is in the tire well in the trunk and the tool kit is still in the car. The car shifts smoothly and is mechanically sound. I know of no mechanical problems. There is no rust and the body is straight. It’s a very powerful and fun car to drive. For a 24 year old car it is in amazing condition I have only owned this car since October and am selling because of medical bills. It’s a difficult decision because I truly loves this car. This car would be a perfect addition for a collector or someone who is looking to drive their investment. Some TLC would make this a show-winning vehicle. It has the design of a true classic and, yet, still embodies the performance of a modern day car. The Mercedes 560SL was ahead of its time in terms of its engineering and performance. These cars listed for around $75,000 in 1987 and have held their value through the years. This car would also make a perfect Christmas gift!
