I spent $1,400 fixing various OTHER things like an engine cooling fan, trunk lid grip with key, break light, etc. But the rattling is because of the CATALYTIC CONVERTER and they quoted me $2,322.28 to fix just that. I'm not a mechanic and don't know squat about cars so there was no way for me to do it on my own. I kept driving it with the bad CATALYTIC converter up until about 2/3 weeks ago when it started rattling REALLY BAD and I turned around and seemingly just made it back in to my driveway. The car NEVER died on me - but it sure sounded like it was going to. The car starts up, sounds like a hammer slamming something and drives like it's going to die at any moment. Does this mean the CC is complete toast? Is something loose? I have no idea but I can't put any more money in to the car. If you have the ability to fix up a car then this could be a great deal - if not, it's going to cost you at LEAST another $2,300 to get the CC working. Interior is in good shape except drivers seat has a tear in it, probably from me having keys in my pocket. Heated seats still work fine, as does all the other bells & whistles. Two door problems though: Passenger door does NOT stay open, always wants to shut. Trunk only stays UP if on a flat level surface, park on any incline and it wants to shut as well, like it's friend the passenger door.
