1960 CADILLAC SEDAN DE VILLE, 4-DOOR HARDTOP IN ABSOLUTE SUPERIOR ORIGINAL SHOW WINNING CONDITION!! WITH JUST 66,596 ORIGINAL MILES , FACTORY COLD A/C. *****QUALITY, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!***** I'm sure there are a lot of nice Cadillacs for sale here on eBay. But If you are interested in owning one of the best of it's kind in the country, this is a Cadillac you must consider owning. I've owned and sold some of the best there is! This really beautiful Series 62 Caddy has to be considered one of the very best I've come across. This is because of it's original beauty, unmatched history of important care, and it's incredible bright work. Yes, the body and interior are in excellent condition, but it is the original BRIGHTWORK that really separated this beautiful Cadillac from most other cars of it's generation. You can have the nicest paint, straightest body, and flawless interior too, but if the chrome and trim are not bright, unrusted, and undented, then the car cannot be considered a fine example! NOTHING is more important than excellent brightwork to make an antique car a show quality, head turning, gleaming work of pride and enjoyment! I spend hundreds of hours per year and thousands of costly dollars tracking down classics and specialty cars to bring to my ebay local customers. Why is this car rare? For several reasons. She has had only two owners, both from the small town of New Kensington Pa. The 1st owners name and the name of the Caddy store in town, Jerome Cadillac, are included in the paperwork. This skilled mechanic kept the car in impeccable condition and drove it only 17,000 miles in it's first six years!! Then in 1966, he sold it to an acquaintance of his, the gentleman that I purchased the from. This gentleman was a brilliant research scientist for over 41 years. He is the kind of man that is meticulous about everything he does, including taking care of "his baby". So much so, that. This of course verifies every one of the 48,000 miles he put on it. He obviously drove it sparingly, but did take it to Florida on a number of occasions. He did everything that the car ever needed and replaced items before they had a chance to wear out. The first thing he did was to have the local rust proofing company shoot the car with a patented rust proofing that has kept the car solid as a rock. He never let the car sit out. It has always been inside a heated garage with a sealed floor. That is why the bright work is so special. He also took great care to park in spaces where he would not get a door dent or bumper ding. Over 35 years ago, he had only the bottom of both rockers sprayed with rock-chip protection. This is an inch wide edge to the bottom of the trunk lip that also was resprayed, making the car about 95% original paint. You will have a hard time finding a better, original paint job. It is smooth, glossy, and has no sun damage. The interior is just as you would expect. He babied the interior! The beautiful seat covers are a mauve color with two-tone accents through out. The car has a gorgeous dash, dash pad, rug, and brightwork. The 390 4bbl V8 runs wonderfully and the transmission shifts smoothly. This caddy drives like a dream. This is one case where the car runs and drives as good as it looks! YES, IT HAS AIR CONDITIONING, AND YES IT WORKS!! This caddy has the automatic headlight dimmer, and the original am tube radio with signal seeker. The gauges work perfectly as do the wipers, all power, bench seat and all six windows work.
