1973 BEAUTIFUL MUSTANG MACH 1 FAST BACK. This car never fails to stop traffic or draw a crowd where ever she goes. It was built as a driver, not a trailer queen, therefore all the work done has been to ensure that-while always doing something to this car-it has always remained a strong dependable driver ready to impress anywhere. I will be a detailed in what it does have as well as what it could use in future to make it suitable for show. Original 351 cleveland(.30 over) and matching FMX automatic transmission both with under 200 miles on the professional rebuild. As far as milage goes the inner components of this motor are brand new! The previous owner had never actually driven the car due to the fact that he couldn't find the shift linkage. Originally a 2 barrel intake and carb- car now runs with new aluminum edelbrock 4 barrel intake and matching edelbrock 600 CFM carb. (original intake and valve covers come with car) Original magnum 500 rims and new sport tires All new front and rear seats, headliner, and delux door skins, and sail panels New gas tank and fuel lines New rear drum and front disc brakes New front and rear shocks and springs Long headers to 2 1/2 dual exaust through new v-force mufflers New front and rear floor pans New front spoiler New classic wooden sport steering wheel New clutch fan (THIS CAR HAS NO HEAT ISSUES! Sat at DMV on 100 degree day and never broke 190 degrees. New battery New windshield The body is all steel and strait-no bondo. The paint, bodywork, and argent decals were all new when I purchased it, and still show very well(as the pictures show). There are a couple places that have begun to show a little bit of normal wear. Very small and easily repairable without affecting rest of paint and decals, and in no way, affects the visual impact or drivability of car. Though I have removed the CD player, it is wired and ready to instal system of your choice in housing below the glove box on passenger side. Here is a list of things, that if so desired, the new owner can do, with a little effort, to take this car to the next level. These are things that just never bothered me enough to keep me from wanting to enjoy the road and show off this baby. In light of the fact that most major and costly components were repaired or replaced-just never got to these. All signals, wipers, and electrical things function just fine. However, when the steering wheel was replaced-the horn was not connected. All the hardware is intact to function in the steering wheel but I had already installed a horn button under the dash for inspection so I never bothered(and yes it works-not the toughest sounding thing though). The speedometer, tach, oil pressure, function properly-which was all I really needed, however, an after market temp guage was installed for exact temp readings as temp guage, odometer, and volt meter on cluster do not operate. Again, I hate to even call this car a 10 footer because the paint and clear coat still shine like new over almost the whole car, however there are a few small spots that fords were notorious for. NOT CANCEROUS. The new sail panels inside the back by the rear window are in the car but need to be properly fastened in to the headliner. If you tinker, a little effort will take this car to show condition. If you are a driver-then just get in and love it!! JoelOn Dec-19-10 at 13:09:47 PST, seller added the following information: Just a note on additional items that will come with car: Original valve covers, original 2v intake, all parts that were swapped during restoration, a set of louvered "powered by Ford valve covers" as well as in addition to the edelbrock 600 cfm carb for efficiency that is on the car- a Barry Grant Demon 750 should new owner want add even horse power or for racing applications. Sucks additional fuel but runs like a bat outta hell with this thing on. I have also found an auto transport co. out of Phila. that is very reasonable-anywhere on east coast 400.00 and so on.
