PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION CLOSELY PRIOR TO BIDDING OR USING THE BUY IT NOW OPTION: I picked up this car on trade about 4 weeks ago for a motorcycle I had for sale. I have no desire to keep it. So I am offering it here for auction. It is a 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe with clear title. It has a 289ci as well as automatic transmission. The 5th digit of the VIN# is C. So it is a original 289 and automatic drive train car. It will start, run and drive. However at the present time it will not be able to be driven since it was basically taken apart to do a restoration on it. The mileage says 61,XXX but I am sure it has gone past it's mechanical limits at least once. The individual I got the car from was in the process of prepping the car to start restoring it. And it has always been stored in garage under a car cover when it was not being worked on. As far as I can tell the car is original, except for the paint, valve covers, wheels, electric fuel pump and it appears to have a updated Ford distributor and it has a aftermarket coil and spark plug wires. It has been repainted and has had body work done to it previously. I am sure the car was originally white. The car is being offered as a NO RESERVE AUCTION! The highest bidder at the end of the auction gets it. CONDITION: The car has rust at the bottom of the right corner of the passenger door, the corner of the right front fender where it meets the corner of the door and the rear lower corner of the passenger quarter panel. It also has small rust holes along the bottom of the drivers door, the the corner of the drivers fender where it meets the front of the door and the drivers rear quarter panel. The interior floor has surface rust only, no rust through the floor or floor pans. The trunk has a small rust hole about the size of a silver dollar and some surface rust. And the battery tray is rusted as well. The dash is complete with no damage or rust and the radio is original and nothing on the dash has been cut. The rear speaker panel under the rear window is perfect with no rust or damage. WHAT IT NEEDS: The car will need carpet, interior door panels, a front windshield and tires. As well the interior will need to be reupholstered. But it's all all there and is Pony interior. And to make this car drivable you will need to replace the items as stated in the beginning of this paragraph, as well as bolt everything back on the car that was removed while getting prepped to restore it. This is a project, restoration automobile. It is not be drivable as you see it. I repeat, it is not drivable as you see it! It would make a great Father and Son project. Or a good starting point for someone looking to restore a car. So if you have any questions please e-mail me here or you can call/text me at 210-487-1238. I have done my best to describe this car to the best of my ability. And keep in mind this is a 34 year old car that I have taken the time to describe it's condition in great detail. It needs work and is not perfect. That is why it is being offered at a very reasonable price. I do not restore cars, so I have described everything be it good or bad and the possible worst case scenario you would be looking at if you choose to restore it. To the best of my ability so there are no misunderstandings. So if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. The car is available for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. ****Also if you choose to pay by a cashiers check, personal check, company check, money order or any other payment other than cash. The car will not be released until the funds have cleared my financial institution without any charge backs. So expect a 10 business day waiting period. And last but not least, if you do not have at least 20 positive feedback, contact me prior to placing a bid or using the buy it now option, OR I WILL CANCEL YOUR BID. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If this is not acceptable to you, do not bid!!!!*****
