This is the bike that my wife learned to ride on. If someone wants to ride a bike for the first time and is fearful of the medical bills that go along with people getting hurt. This Honda is worth it's weight in gold. It runs great. My wife put about a 1000 miles on this bike riding on the back roads, around town and on camping trips. She has since moved on to a Yamaha 1100 V Star. This is the last year Honda produced this bike for the USA. It has a 4 speed trans with auto clutch + high and low range trans. It has a smaller sprocket on the rear and easily cruises at 45 with a 150 lb. rider and will go up to 55. The bike usually starts with one kick. When we are done riding we always run the carb dry as it is parked most of the time since the wife has moved on to bigger toys. The battery is dead, but it starts fine with the cdi ignition. New batteries are around $20, but this bike is in storage these days so we have not been concerned about a battery. The stock shocks have been changed to after market heavy duty adjustable shocks that work better with a larger rider. It has a spare fuel tank that will hold approximately a half gallon. The bike is currently registered and insured. The tags have been paid for but we have not put them on the bike. This Honda will start easily and run smooth as the trans and clutch have no issues and it shifts like a new bike.
