I am an Ivy League graduate. I am in my mid-30s. I am a serious fellow, and I've been on the national and local TV news giving unpaid and unsolicited financial market commentary; also been in major national newspapers and magazines doing the same. Most recently, I was quoted in AARP magazine. There is nothing being hidden about this car, as so many people do. You don't get 100% positive feedback over 11 years of registration by hiding things. If there is something you should know about this car of which I am aware, it's available to you in the auction. I go out of my way to make sure people are satisfied. Look at my specific feedback...look how the guy who bought the truck recently said, "You can trust Seth with your eyes closed." I work hard to make sure I get comments like that; I don't take it lightly, and it means a tremendous amount to me. I look forward to getting to know you if you'd like me to (or if you'd like to buy the car without me getting to know you, that's OK too!)! The truck: You are bidding on a 1966 Ford F-series Pickup Truck. The truck runs and drives, but really needs basic repairs before you would safely take it on the street. For one, the rear brake line was apparently leaking so it was crimped instead of replaced...there's no way someone could in good conscience allow someone to drive a truck with only front brakes working. Secondly, you'll see as you watch the videos the truck is very loud...the exhaust manifold gaskets are nearly totally gone. Not all the lights are working. But, it's great that it runs so you can hear the engine is solid, the transmission shifts through all the gears (you can drive it around a yard for example, and definitely up onto a trailer and off the trailer again). There really isn't much rust visible on this truck, which makes it a great candidate for restoration. Yes, the bed has some rust near the front (toward the cab), but they all do from leaves and such collecting near the front. Above the doors, Ford pickups are known to rust away...this one has some rust there, but really not much at all. A key to look for with these trucks is whether there rust INSIDE the engine compartment...this one does not. The floors have been treated with rust inhibitor and seem to be very solid. This truck is really not bad for a 45 year old vehicle...think about it. In the bed you'll see some items also included with the auction: the floormat which can be put back into position, and also there are couple of either real (or the look of) Flow Master style mufflers you may want to use when you get the exhaust system worked on (or if you do it yourself). -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- NO MINIMUM BID -- THE TOP BIDDER WINS Use the combination of the photos, videos and text for full disclosure, with more emphasis on the photos and videos as the description is clearly not intended to be exhaustive. As eBay says, a single picture is worth a thousand words. They strongly recommend the best practice of providing as many photos as possible and let the photos do the talking, rather than trying to describe in words what can be seen in a photo or trying to recreate in words what already is in provided photos. I have been registered on eBay for close to 11 years and have 100% positive feedback. Any questions, message me through the eBay messaging system, and I will answer promptly, or you can call me at (Five-Six-One) Three-76-Two-Two-Seven-Nine. The following slideshow automatically displays the first 100 of the ~200 available pictures. That's just a Photo Bucket limitation...to view the rest of them, right-click on the "View all" at the bottom right of the slideshow and select open in new tab or window: (The videos are large files and are not finished uploading yet...I will have to add them in a revision to the auction within a few hours.) AUCTION RULES: Full payment is due within within 7 calendar days of auction ending by either cash in-person or bank wire only. (Once you receive a fraudulent cashier's check from a buyer, you'll never accept another one either!) Pickup is also due within 14 calendar days, and may not occur until funds have cleared. Storage for the first 14 days is FREE. There is a storage charge of $150/week beyond 14 days, and is limited to 2 extra weeks (for a total of 4 weeks of storage). You must read the entire auction description, follow the rules, and study each picture and video fully. I do not offer any kind of a warranty on anything that I sell, ever, as a matter of policy -- this car is As Is with no warranty. -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- * * * NO MINIMUM BID -- THE TOP BIDDER WINS * * * On Dec-10-10 at 10:57:36 PST, seller added the following information: Here is one of the videos I promised...this vdeos is the first start up in a couple months, without using starting fluid...definitely needs the carburetor cleaned, and stalls sometimes: On Dec-10-10 at 15:42:02 PST, seller added the following information: I didn't mention until now that this pickup is indeed a "Custom Cab" edition. Below are two additional videos...a quasi-road test, though I didn't get far before deciding to return because I kept stalling the engine -- I kept stalling the engine because I wasn't aggressive enough with the accelerator pedal. That's probably because it sounds so loud and I wasn't quite giving it enough fuel, especially with the engine not warmed up. But, it's still a good demonstration. The next video below that, is a general walkaround to show you how solidly the doors open and close and that the tail gate operates properly, and finally gives various perspectives on the lines of the truck. Enjoy. On Dec-10-10 at 17:34:30 PST, seller added the following information: Here are some photos of some extra parts, including some emblems that I special-ordered online...they are yours as part of the auction:
