I am an Ivy League graduate. I am in my mid-30s. I am a serious fellow, and I've been on the national and local TV news giving unpaid and unsolicited financial market commentary; also been in major national newspapers and magazines doing the same. Most recently, I was quoted in AARP magazine. There is nothing being hidden about this car, as so many people do. You don't get 100% positive feedback over 11 years of registration by hiding things. If there is something you should know about this car of which I am aware, it's available to you in the auction. I go out of my way to make sure people are satisfied. Look at my specific feedback...look how the guy who bought the truck recently said, "You can trust Seth with your eyes closed." I work hard to make sure I get comments like that; I don't take it lightly, and it means a tremendous amount to me. I look forward to getting to know you if you'd like me to (or if you'd like to buy the car without me getting to know you, that's OK too!)! The car: You are bidding on a 1997 Cadillac DeVille, Coral Edition. The Coral Edition is a very rare car. Also rare, this DeVille has a factory sunroof. The cars runs and drives extremely well. A couple things I would like to point that are not visible in the photos and you may not perceive in the videos... One, it looks like the car has the original spark plug wires because they are old looking AC Delco brand wires. AC Delco is GM's OEM brand, meaning that's what the brand they used at the factory. It could be that the wires and plugs are 14 years old! DeVilles of this era are known to mis-fire at idle when the spark plugs get fouled, the wires get old, or if there is a vacuum leak. All of those items are easily doable..plugs, wires, vacuum leak correction, and are part of a tune up. You should have a glassy smooth idle, and this one misses a bit if you pay really close attention and you're a purist. It's probably because it simply needs the basics done (plugs, wires, air filters, etc.), which I didn't do. The missing is indicated by the Service Engine Soon light code. Occasionally Northstar engines need ignition coils (there is one coil for every 2 cylinders)...those coils are about $30 a piece, but it's highly doubtful it needs any of those. The important thing is the engine doesn't overheat, because Northstar engines don't do well when overheated...overheating cracks the heads, etc., so word to the wise: Don't overheat your Northstar engine! Northstar engines are phenomenally fuel efficient, beautifully engineered engines but you have to be careful to treat them well with regard to heat. The other issue to point out is that the driver's side supplemental pull-down visor doesn't stop when pulled to outward position -- it just comes completely out, which may be visible in one of my videos. You can just put it right back into place; it's very rare someone would use that visor anyway. You may even be aware that DeVilles have a supplemental visor...this is not the main sun visor, but one that pulls forward toward the front of the car, not the one that swings down and/or to the side. I've driven the car a lot (as I say above, 600+ miles), and it's a phonemally comfortable machine in the city and on the highway, and drives great. Do watch all the videos as I take you to highway speeds, and give you a good virtual demonstration of the car which is intended to make you feel like you're actually driving it. Also view every single picture if you're the type of person who wants to be aware of every single scratch or blemish on a nearly 14 year old car you're buying (not that there's anything wrong with being that person, sincerely). It's so hard to find a DeVille with low miles, and this one feels tight and good as you're driving it. All of the accessories work in the car. Factory radio and power antenna are great. Air conditioning is cold. Seats adjust comfortably with power. Cup holders aren't broken. Just a really tight, low mileage, find automobile you'll be super happy to have. -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- NO MINIMUM BID -- THE TOP BIDDER WINS Use the combination of the photos, videos and text for full disclosure, with more emphasis on the photos and videos as the description is clearly not intended to be exhaustive. As eBay says, a single picture is worth a thousand words. eBay strenuously recommends letting photographs do the talking rather than trying to re-create in words what is visible in photos. I have been registered on eBay for close to 11 years and have 100% positive feedback. Any questions, message me through the eBay messaging system, and I will answer promptly, or you can call me at (Five-Six-One) Three-76-Two-Two-Seven-Nine. The following slideshow automatically displays the first 100 of the ~200 available pictures. That's just a Photo Bucket limitation...to view the rest of them, right-click on the "View all" at the bottom right of the slideshow and select open in new tab or window: Below are the two videos I promised you above. Combined they are more than 20 minutes in length, which I realize sound long but they are really worth watching. I even narrate them, and turn the camera around and do a self-introduction -- I would want to know from whom I was buying a car if I were the one making the purchase. AUCTION RULES: Full payment is due within within 7 calendar days of auction ending by either cash in-person or bank wire only. (Once you receive a fraudulent cashier's check from a buyer, you'll never accept another one either!) Pickup is also due within 14 calendar days, and may not occur until funds have cleared. Storage for the first 14 days is FREE. There is a storage charge of $150/week beyond 14 days, and is limited to 2 extra weeks (for a total of 4 weeks of storage). You must read the entire auction description, follow the rules, and study each picture and video fully. I do not offer any kind of a warranty on anything that I sell, ever, as a matter of policy -- this car is As Is with no warranty. -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- * * * NO MINIMUM BID -- THE TOP BIDDER WINS * * * On Dec-11-10 at 10:43:41 PST, seller added the following information: A couple of questions I keep getting: The dashboard lights do NOT flicker as they appear to in the video -- that's just the way a digital video camera captures digital lights...it sometimes makes them look like they are flickering when they are not, like when you watch the TV news and the TV news camera shows a video of a TV and looks distorted or shows repetitively rolling lines. Secondly, the engine does NOT overheat.
