Vehicle Detail

I'm relisting because a fraudulant buyer used "Buy-It-Now" and ended it, no pay. Now he's not registered, and E-Bay took care of everything. But; you need to be "10" transactions or higher, & in good standing to bid or buy. Otherwise I will cancel your bid. I'm trying to sell this car. not play games. This is a 1973 Ford Maverick I've had since 2005. I believe I'm technically the 3rd owner, it went from the original owner to his grandson who never drove it. We rebuilt just about everything on this. I had a fresh accident with it on the freeway 4 weeks ago. The damage isn't too bad, but I'm pretty much burned out on this car and want to sell it to finish another project I have. Pictures show most of the problems. I hit the retaining wall with the right tire when the steering went haywire on me. Then I took the left side into a guard rail. From what I can see, the right damage is limited to the tire, which is just scuffed. The left side has front fender damage, the driver door was pushed back and into the rear door, which is also bowed. Then there's some guard rail scrapes here and there. I pried the doors so they open; mechanically, the doors are okay. The front bumper braces are bent, the sway bar on the left looks pushed in a little, I can't tell what's bent under there. The front tires are toed-out, but not bad. After further investigation, I found the hi-pressure steering hose got a severe leak and caused all this. I have replaced all of the power steering components just before this; pump, power cylinder, valve, new custom anchor bracket to get around the headers. The car shows 142,000 on the odometer, but the rebuild has only 16,000. Here's what we rebuilt: The entire front end, lower A-arms, poly bushings. There are new front disc brakes from a 78 Mercury Versailles (all same as 76 and up maverick), wheel bearings. Rear drums are good, new rear axle bearings, trac-loc positraction (yes, it is definitely 2-wheel drive, nice burnouts!), C4 trans has about 45,000 on it, it was rebuilt at 90,000 by the previous owner; converted from column shift to floor shift, from a '85 mustang; the motor is a 310 cubic inch with Kieth Black pistons & rods, heads are stock, mild porting by me, healthy 2-step-up cam, lots of low-end torque, hydraulic, stock rockers, Mallory Uni-Lite distributor, Blaster2 coil, ballast resistor, no spark box; intake is Edelbrock Air-Gap, carb is 600 Holley vacuum secondary, but can handle a 780 double-pumper nicely! Yup, I tried it then took it off so my son would not get into trouble... Hedman full-length headers that were just removed and repainted, 2-1/4" exhaust with turbo mufflers all the way back to the bumper. Radiator has had the rows replaced. The interior is very very nice! It has the deep pile shag carpet, the front seats were redone about a year ago to stock specs; nothing is ripped. I restored the hubcaps, they are super-sweet, and you get all 4 of them. They were not on when i wrecked it, so they're still in great shape. The trunk is flawless. There is a couple small rot spots starting to show at the bottom of the 2 passenger doors. This car is very dependable, it always starts nicely and drove really well. I'm hoping someone wants this to swap most of the good stuff to another car. I may consider offers, but right now i'm at auction and a buy it now, so don't take too long deciding what you wanna do, it may disappear. If you would like to come see it and hear it start, message me. Oops, I also still have the A/C condenser and hoses if you want to refresh the air conditioning, it was factory-installed. BRING A TRAILER OR A TOW, IT'S NOT SAFE TO DRIVE...(because of the steering damage only & the broken hose)
