Vehicle Detail
Ttwo door 111 coupe. Rare four speed manual transmission. FYI, the front seats are from a four door sedan. Motor oil shows possible water with oil (tan color) so I suspect the head gasket went out in the past. Naturally, the motor does not run. Door panels are in the trunk. The car would need TOTAL RESTORATION. That would mean upholstery, wood, rubbers, the works. It is not a rust bucket by any means. The trunk floor is in excellent condition as is the entire floor pan. ....given that this is where most of the cars can rust out. Great for restoration or you can use for parts. The fuel injection pump is in a box in the trunk. Clean title and privately owned. You can follow the following link to more photos....or paste it into your search box. The red engine hood displayed in the photos, as explained below, is no longer on the car. I've already restored 4 coupes in the past so I'm familiar with the model. This was the last one I was going to start but I'm essentially done with major restorations. The front metal panel that the bumper bolts onto would need to be replaced. Pictures in the link should indicate any other front end rust issues which are minor. I have no history on the car other than buying it in Fresno California about three years ago. It appeared someone started taking it apart for restoration or repair. Some interior parts (door release, window crank, etc.) are not in the car. PLEASE NOTE . THE RED ENGINE HOOD WAS JUST SOLD FOR $1000. I HAVE ANOTHER HOOD FOR THE CAR THAT IS FROM ANOTHER Coupe CAR AND HAS SOME BENDS TO IT AS A RESULT OF THE HOOD LATCH RELEASING AND COMING UP QUICKLY AT ABOUT 30 MPH. http://s811.photobucket.com/albums/zz33/romanacce/1964%20Red%20Coupe/?
