this is a nice 1968 amx with a supercharged engine. i traded for this and another 1970 a few weeks ago. i have had about 15 amx's, and this was done right years ago. the guy i got it from only drove it about 500 miles total, and stored, as he has 6 amx's now. has never been to a car show here yet. the previous owner had about $40,000.00 in this car. i took the car out and drove it today, about 65 degrees out, and ran a steady 190 degrees. car needs to be jetted, as i live at 7300 feet.came from sea level. car has working heater, and wipers. the factory tach, and speedometer are not working. all the lights are. car also has a viper alarm, and a nice stereo, with amp in back. car also has power steering and power brakes. original red, with white stripes. the interior is in very nice condition. door panels, seats carpet, headliner---all nice!. car even has a tilt wheel. 15" torq thrust wheels with bfg tires. rear end has new moser axles and a brand new posi unit with 3:15 gears. the previous owner installed these as it spun the tires to much with 3:91's. this amx was originally a 390 car, as shown in the vin. doors shut nice, as doe hood and trunk. the hood was cut perfect for the 6-71 blower. the engine is a nearly new chevy crate engine with what i was told all forged rods, and crank.car has headers, with big pipes. they look to be 3". transmission is a turbo 400, recently rebuilt. i have seen 4 other supercharged amx's, and 2 were small blocks, 1 big block, and the other had a 390. the engine fits in there really nice, and looks right. the passenger rear 1/4 panel has rust starting to bubble on seem, as shown in picture. this is not a perfect car, but a very nice car that would be great for any show, and a good solid reliable driver. engine sounds smooth, and needs minor tuning. has a boost retard switch inside, never messed with it. car sits good, and drives nice. nothing like the sound of a 6-71.
