Vehicle Detail

This is an ultra rare 1950 Buick Roadmaster sedanette. The model is a 76S. There were only 2968 of these cars produced. I have only seen one other of these cars for sale many years ago. I am sometimes told that I am mistaken, that they did not make such a car but assure you this is an original factory Buick Roadmaster Sedanette. This website gives the production totals http://www.buicks.net/years/50.shtml#Production . The car looks amazing! The paint while not perfect shines beautifully. The chrome and trim has all been redone and is breathtaking (5k in brightwork alone!). Car runs excellent. Car is complete. While the car shows well it does have some flaws. They are as follows: 1) Then drivers window is cracked. It is flat glass so it is no big deal to redo. 2) The interior is an after market red and black cloth interior. It is neat looking but not correct. 3) The wheels are not original as you can see. It is an interesting look and I did get the car this way but it was my desire to put a set of period correct skylark wire wheels on the car. 4) The rockers and floors need to be redone. All the pieces are available from this company http://classicfabrication.com/1950_53buick.html and I can tell you I personally have used their products and they are of excellent quality and made here in the U.S. This cost me about $1800.00 to repair including all materials and shipping to another buick. 5) The transmission works well but needs to be resealed. I have a friend who does these old gals and he quoted me $600.00 to reseal it. I can have this done for you if you like before you pick up the car at your cost. 6) There is no headliner. The bows are in place though. 7) The hood latches and the door latches need some adjustment as they do not work as smooth as I would like. I believe that taking them apart and greasing them up would cure this. If this car were perfect it would be worth 40K. It would make a great custom which is what I bought it for. I also think it is a excellent candidate to keep stock due to its rarity. I never got around to finishing it so maybe the universe wants to see it left stock! LOL. Choice is yours. It's a magnificent car. I require a $1000.00 non refundable deposit with 72 hours of the auction close. The balance needs to be paid with 10 days no exception! I will keep the deposit and relist the car after 14 days if we have not made other arraingements prior to the end of the auction. That means for whatever reason, if you want to lay out terms other than what is listed here please do so and get my approval before the auction ends! Thank you and Good Luck!
