Up for auction is a rebuildable 1997 Mercedes C230, Silver/Gray interior, with automatic transmission. There are approximately 100k miles on this car, but unsure of exact mileage because the dash does not light up. The vehicle was involved in a front end collision, as you can see from the pictures. The most damage was to the right front area of the car. Upon inspection, the following parts are broken and need replacement. Right front lower control arm, sway bar, tie rod end and strut (coil spring). There may also be some minor damage to the front end impact strip. Instrument cluster does not light up. There may be other repairs that would need to be made so please realize that this list is not all-inclusive. The air bags did NOT deploy. Minor front end damage to the hood as pictured. Most of the rest of the car is in good condition, including the interior and tires. The car does not currently start, it appears as though there may be an electrical issue causing this problem as the battery is new and starter has been tested and operates fine. The central locking system (remote) is in working order, headlights and hazards lights work, only the passenger side window works fully, the power sunroof is not working. Other windows are not in working order although you can hear a click in the relays when buttons are pressed. Potential bidders are welcome to inspect this car prior to bid. The vehicle is located in Thomasville, NC 27360, (30 mins South of Greensboro, NC or 1.5 hours North of Charlotte, NC) This vehicle is sold as-is, where is, no warranty, express, written, implied, or otherwise assumed and comes with a North Carolina salvage title. It is a great rebuildable car that would make for a great winter time project for an experienced mechanic/body man. Deposit of $200 required within 48 hours of auction’s end through PayPal or certified funds. Vehicle would need to be towed from its current location (my garage); the buyer is responsible for making arrangements. It is possible that I may be able to assist with arrangements for towing at the buyer’s expense. The remaining balance and pickup of the vehicle are to be completed within 10 days of auction’s end.
