Vehicle Detail
You will be actually bidding on two 1963 Fords. The main one is a red 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie 500 fastback two door hardtop with black interior. The car has a very straight body, and has never been wrecked. It does have some surface rust, and a small rust area on the lower quarter panels where the mufflers exited on those model cars. All of the window glass is in execllent condition. There is, however, a small place on the front tip of the left front fender that apparently was filled many years ago, before I bought it. I personally have owned this car since 1970, and it has been parked since 1973. This car came from the factory with a 390-4V engine and 4-speed transmission. It also has traction bars that were on it when I purchased it. The engine was removed many years ago. I do, however, have the original 1963 T-10 transmission with a Hurst shifter, as well as the original shifter, and a good rebuildable 390-4V engine that goes with the car. Also included with this car is the radiator, the water fill tank, driveshaft, bellhousing, flywheel, transmission crossmember, starter, two almost new motor mounts, an almost new H-tailpipe, original bumper jack, and other assorted parts. This would be a great car to restore. The second car is a white, 1963 Ford Galaxie 500XL four door hardtop with red interior. Four door XLs as fairly rare cars. It came from the factory with a 352-2V engine and automatic transmission with factory air conditioning, and power steering. I originally bought this car some years ago as a parts car, but the car was running when I purchased it. All running works are still intact. Someone had started to restore the car, and had removed the door panels, rear seat, etc., but they are still all inside the car. The original bucket seats are still bolted in as well as the console. The glass is all in good condition with the exception of the rear windshield that got broken out. Both bumpers are very straight, and would be good to be rechromed. The car has some extensive rust in certain areas, but it could be restored. I have clear titles to both cars. The cars will have to be picked up in Concord, NC within 7 days of the end of the auction, unless other arrangements have been agreed to. A deposit of at least $300 must be made within 48 hours of the end of the auction with the remainder due within 7 days of the end of the auction.
