You are bidding on a 1998 Volkswagen Jetta TDI with a 5 speed manual transmission. We have owned the vehicle since March of 2005. The vehicle was purchased with 79,485 miles on it and was not in running condition. We installed a motor with approximately 36,000 miles on it. (The engine came from North Dakota and has an optional block heater installed in it.) A new timing belt and idlers were installed with the motor. The car has spent the summers in Connecticut and winters in Florida. There is no rust on the car. The interior is about a 7 out of 10 due to a few blemishes in the seats. ( A couple cigarette burns from the previous owner.) The car currently has 155,426 miles on it. The passenger side outer door trim is missing. Everything is in great working condition, the cruise is perfect and the air conditioning blows ice cold. There is not a sunroof in this model. The tires are nearly new and have 90% tread life left on them. The transmission shifts smooth. This has been a great vehicle for us in the 5 years we have owned it, we are a Volkswagen family and are sorry to have to part ways with it. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
