Vintage 1953 Ford F2 F250 3/4 ton long box pickup truck. This is a very, very solid body heavy duty work/farm truck from the dry Dakotas and would make a great restoration or hot rod. There is No Title for the vehicle. It will be sold with Bill of Sale only. The specs from the VIN plate on the glove box door are as follows: VIN F23D3P16871, GVW 6,900, WB 118", 91HP at 3,400rpm, 4spd syncro trans., 4.86 rear axle ratio, color R, Production Code 15J4247Z. The engine is a 6cyl. inline OHV not a flathead V/8 but a V/8 could be easily swapped in. The cyl. head was removed from the engine long ago and all the parts are still in the truck bed. I have no indication why the engine was originally dis-assembled. The tires are 16" and they are all flat. I will have them all inflated at time of pickup for easier loading. Truck has the heavy duty 3/4 type rear axle with floating rear axles. These were very sought after and converted to quick change for race cars in the 1960's-70's. The tailgate is missing. The box floor will need all the wood replaced. The passenger rear fender took a nasty hit at some point in it's life. There is also a rip in the drivers front fender. The front seat will need all padding and covering replaced. The hood is just sitting on the vehicle as the hood had been removed as the engine was worked on. The passenger front cab mount is rusted/broken. The passenger door does not latch but the drivers doors works and shuts like a new truck. Speedometer actually shows approx. 53,000mi. I do not know if this is correct or not. This is listed for pickup only. I can assist in loading if needed. I also can do a hauling quote within a reasonable distance with my car trailer.
