Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 1984 F250 extended cab flatbed pickup truck. I got it on a trade, and was going to fix it up, but I have too many projects with too little cash. My loss is your gain! The truck has the international 6.9 Diesel V8 engine. The engine runs super strong and I have done quite a bit of maintenance and work on it. All 8 injectors were removed and cleaned. Fuel tank was flushed (and has been kept full with diesel and diesel clean). All new glow plugs and new wiring on glow plugs. Fresh oil and filter, fresh coolant and thermostat. New block heater and wiring. Newer batteries and brand new battery cables. rebuilt alternator and starter. The truck came with a c6 trans that slipped in second gear. I pulled it to rebuild it, but never got around to it. It comes with the c6 auto I pulled, and its torque converter. It needs a new rear u-joint on the driveshaft. The rear brakes were adjusted and cleaned. The front brakes are new as of last summer and have about 50 miles on them. Tires have great tread (mud terrains on rear, highway tires on front) and they have minor dry rot on the fronts. The flat bed is in great shape, no dents or rust. It is a diamond plate deck and solid steel construction. It has the cutout for the fifth wheel or gooseneck, and a cover plate tacked over it because there is currently only a rear hitch on it. The dana 60 full floater rear is in great shape. It comes with 4 new shocks. The body is decent for a 25 year old truck, no visible rust, but your typical dings and dents for a Kansas flatbed pickup. The interior is great except for the headliner and door panels. The headliner sags and needs to be re-glued or removed all together. The drivers and passengers door-panels are worn through on the top edges. Both front and rear benches are in great shape. The horn button came off but could potentially be fixed. It could use a repaint because it is obviously bright pink (as painted by the previous owner don't judge me!) What I was going to do with this truck was to get it running perfectly (already done). Then I was going to rebuild the C6 trans. I found out that if you swap an AOD out of a late 80's or early 90's ford diesel you can get over 25 MPG instead of the 18 or so it currently gets with the C6. I spent too much time thinking about what to do and now I have three other projects. Its up to you to decide! The c6 does come with it so either rebuild it or replace it and scrap the old one for $75 or use it as a core! All the truck needs is a transmission and some TLC like cleaning it up and spraying some cheap paint over the ugly hot pink to become a reliable inexpensive fuel sipping daily driver! I believe my asking price is more than reasonable considering its worth $350 in scrap weight... not to mention it could be parted out for over $2,000. I don't have the time to work on it, the money to work on it, and I'm sick and tired of being asked about my "pink truck" so my loss is your gain! Call Pat at 908 872 7575 with any questions or concerns.I can send you more pics via email if you would like! The vehicle is located in McPherson KS and can be seen at your availability! Thank you!
