Vehicle Detail
1980 Ford F-250 Ranger *57,000 original miles *351 engine *C-6 automatic transmission I'm not a ford guy, but this truck impresses me. It's a sweet and fully functional vehicle that you will ever find. It's not junk! Just by driving this truck you can tell the miles are correct. Then you look around it and see that it's had lots of care and maintenance with no signs of abuse. The 351 engine carries excellent oil pressure and stays with the proper temperature range. The engine has no leaks, blow bye, or smoke. It runs quiet and smooth with excellent pulling power. The C-6 transmission goes in gear without hesitation, shifts nice and positive. Fluid is clean and has no leaks from the pan or front and rear seals. The rearend has no leaks and makes no noise. The body is straight and solid and was ziebarted when new. It appears to be original paint, except on the inside of the bed and where is has very minor, minor rust repair which was repaired correctly. There has always been a camper shell on the pickup until about a month ago. The interior is very clean and comfortable. All factory gauges work properly along with the speedometer and odometer. The shift indicator is not accurate and the am/fm 8-track only works when it wants to. The heater works excellent on all speeds and the a/c should work because it is holding pressure, but the control on the dash needs some tlc. All glass is good and the cab is tight with both doors locking and shutting properly. Add-ons include dual exhaust and a reese receiver hitch with a quick change ball. In the last 18 months, both the brake and fuel systems have been overhauled. The brake system received new calipers, hoses, emergency brake cables, and rear brake updates. The fuel system received a new carbuerator, filter, lines, new rear fuel pump and tank all about a month ago at a cost of $445. Both tanks work and switch properly. Just passed missouri state safety inspection, however, the inspector suggested new tires be put on in the near future. This would make a great, dependable daily driver that can still work when you need it to and get you home comfortably and safely. If you have any questions, please call 816-716-7086.
