Vehicle Detail

This is a 1973 Pontiac Firebird Esprit with very powerful Pontiac 455 and a Borg Warner super t-10 4-speed. The car was originally a Pontiac Firebird Esprit 350 Automatic and has been changed to a 455 4-Speed. The car has the factory fiberglass dual snorkel hood. It has Trans Am front fenders. The body on this car is really nice and straight, never been wrecked. The black interior is complete and in beautiful shape. The car does have a clear, Oregon, title with no bands. The car is primered black. The body is very clean and straight, but will need minor sanding and prep for paint. This car runs very fast and drives fantastic, with unbelievable power. In a ¼ mile race with street tires it does 13.30 at 108mph. With slicks you could easily get into the 12’s with 110mph plus. The car has good glass all around, without any cracks. New front windshield. This car is fully complete. It runs great. All the lights (headlights, taillights, turn lights, brake lights, dome light, instrument lights) work except for reverse lights. It handles nice and is easy and very fun to drive. The front end was just aligned less than 1000 miles ago. This car has the factory 1 1/4" front sway bar. It has after-market sub frame connectors installed. It has the factory complete set of freshly re-finished 15" ralley II wheels complete with all the rings and caps. The brakes work very well, even the E-brake. All brake parts are new. The brake pads and shoes, master cylinder, left and right wheel cylinders, left and right front calipers are all new in the last 2000 miles. It has a posi rear axle in it, a 3:08 gear ratio, excellent for track, and street. The original engine was a 350ci with a turbo 350 auto. It was swapped out to a powerful freshly rebuilt (less than 2000 miles ago) 1972 Pontiac 455ci YC code and a 4-speed. It is a great running 455, with 1969 #62 big valve heads with swirl polished 1-piece stainless steel 2.11" intake 1.77" exhaust valves. Heads were rebuilt ported and polished. The engine has the following new parts: new rings, rods and main bearings, cam bearings, new crane camshaft (intake is 234, exhaust is 242 duration, 473 intake lift, 488 exhaust lift, gives it a nice lope), rebuilt distributor, accel super coil, cam shaft lifters, push rods, timing chain, oil pump, water pump, crank shaft turned, block bored .040” over, new .040” pistons, completely dynamically balanced, new push rods, fuel pump, starter, new performance 4 tube exhaust headers, and more. The engine has an edelbrock torquer aluminum intake with quadra-jet. The car has new 3" dual exhaust with 3” flow master mufflers. The transmission is an aluminum case super t-10 with the following gear ratios 2.64 1st gear 1.75 2nd, 1.33 3rd, 1.00 4th. If you want power and performance, with very sharp looks, then this is the car for you. This car is a real head turner. The interior is black and in very nice condition, the seats were re-upholstered and look great. It has new carpet. New headliner, but needs to be re-stretched (it is a little bit loose). Deluxe door panels and plastic panels inside and all in excellent shape. The dash looks very nice and has no cracks in it. All of the interior pieces are there and complete. The car has a very nice, freshly re-finished formula steering wheel. The car has a working 100 mph speedometer, and an 6000 tachometer. It has a very nice machined type dash bezel. This car is a factory standard NON-air conditioning car, with power breaks and power steering. The heater works. The windshield wipers work well on all speeds. The car will need new weather stripping around the doors and trunk. The floor pans are not rusted, the rear quarters and valance are not rusted, no rust on top, or around windows of the car. There is a small bit of rust which was repaired on driver side floor pan by welding a patch panel in. The trunk had a little bit of rust that was treated and surface was re-finished. It has a nice front endura bumper. The body on this car is in awesome shape, no dents, not rusty. This car looks great and runs well. This is a great car, and it is very hard to find a firebird in this nice of shape. Buyer must pay for car within 7 days of end of auction and pick-up car within 14 days of end of auction. Car must be picked up at my house in Salem, OR.
