If you are into serious off-roading, this vehicle is for you..... 2001 is the last year a Hard Top Model was produced. It is prefered by many Hummer owners due to reduced weight versus Wagons. This includes the chains used to secure this H1 on the trailer. Total miles on this trailer are about 10,000. Wheel bearings were repacked this summer...and a new battery was installed. (Anderson Trailers...Lebanon, MO). If you are unfamiliar with PJ Trailers, do some research....the are a high quality manufacturer. This set-up is ready to go anywhere. This is the real deal. This H1 Hummer has proven itself on difficult trails all over the US...including the Rubicon in California and almost all trails in Colorado. Favorite Trail is Red Cone Mountain in Colorado. This H1 Hummer has a brand new factory diesel engine installed at 35,000 miles ....due to a Number 8 cylinder problem...thanks AM General.!!!!! (If you are not familiar with the Number 8 cylinder problem, these GM engines were cast with a narrow heat fin near the #8 cylinder...and subject to cracking. This affected about 15% of all engines produced for the H1 Hummer...maybe more.) The resolution was GREAT....a brand new (non-#8 Cylinder) engine was installed under warranty by Lynch Hummer. This occured near the end of the factory warranty....so the current diesel engine has only 11,000 miles on it....hardly broken in...and has shown NO PROBLEMS. You can verify this with Lynch Hummer...Kenny Fears, service rep. Two (2) Owners....Hummer H1 was previously owned by a friend who was president of our local Hummer Club (St Louis). It has been titled 3 times....once in Missouri by original owner, and twice by current owner...once in Missouri and secondly in Florida. All service has been performed by Lynch Hummer, St Louis...the largest Hummer Dealer in the world......and all records are available. It continues to pass all on-road inspections...and is liscensed on-road as well. Lynch Hummer performed a MAJOR SERVICE maintenance within the last 1500 miles. Don't worry about putting pinstripe scratches and minor dents in this H1 Hummer...they are already there!!! Off road experience shows...but it is beautiful in it's own way!!!! Come see ....if you agree....put in a bid. Trailer has been titled only once...bought new by current owner. It has a retail cost of over $5,000 and $500 spent on modifications to allow drive over of wheel wells...see pictures. Note that the modifications can be restored to original design with just a little welding. All parts modified were saved so it can be restored if no longer needed....but why would you??? Trailering this off-road beast to the trail head...or to the Hummer Club Meeting... is Great!!!
