Vehicle Detail
1996 Audi A4 Quattro AWD, 2.8 V6 Parts or project car Had 189000 miles when I upgraded to a TT. Spoiler, new tires, new battery (installed about three years ago now, not driven since), sunroof, trunk-mounted 6 CD changer. Sold as is, no warranty. Would be a nice project car or parts car. Was last driven in 2007 and so doesn’t run now. I have owned it from December 2004 through December 2007 and used it as a daily driver throughout that period. Took it to Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Mount Rushmore, Vegas, Yellowstone and about 15-20 trips to Denver International Airport to fly out to other cities or to drop off/pick up friends. Gave it all that it required then. Here’s a list of work done on it for its upkeep (I’m sure I’m forgetting something which I’ll add if/when I remember) when I was using it as a daily driver: T-belt/water pump at 163k Control arms (front or rear, don’t remember) Brake pads (front or rear or both, don’t remember exactly) Camshaft position sensor New catalytic converters New vacuum lines and tie-rods New tires (Not some Pirellis/Michelins, but a Wal-mart brand-Uniroyal) This car is for a typical DIY’er, one who wants to work on something in his/her spare time. Yes it was running until I bought the TT in December 2007 (it’s kind of funny, I gave it a new Interstate battery and stopped driving it). It’s unstoppable in the snow and I think it’s Torsen differential makes it better in the snow than my 225 TT Quattro’s Haldex. Didn’t bother to sell it in 2007 because was lazy. Now I have to move as I’m almost done with my degree. I’ve priced it reasonably (way below KBB) and am in no hurry to sell it. If no one is interested, I’ll just give it to my professor who’ll work on it together with his 1970 240D when he’s tired of teaching ? Thanks for looking. I have the right to end auction early if I get local offers from other places. Paypal or cash only.
