I am an Ivy League graduate. I am in my mid-30s. I am a serious fellow, and I've been on the national and local TV news giving unpaid and unsolicited financial market commentary; also been in major national newspapers and magazines doing the same. Most recently, I was quoted in AARP magazine. There is nothing being hidden about this car, as so many people do. You don't get 100% positive feedback over 11 years of registration by hiding things. If there is something you should know about this car of which I am aware, it's available to you in the auction. I go out of my way to make sure people are satisfied. Look at my specific feedback...look how the guy who bought the truck recently said, "You can trust Seth with your eyes closed." I work hard to make sure I get comments like that; I don't take it lightly, and it means a tremendous amount to me. I look forward to getting to know you if you'd like me to (or if you'd like to buy the car without me getting to know you, that's OK too!)! The car: You are bidding on a 1979 Porsche 911 SC with optional Electric Sliding Roof (i.e., Sunroof) and 5-speed manual transmission and cold air conditioning. There are many amazing features of this car, but for starters it includes a very thick maintenance file with every single service invoice for the car since it left the Masterson Porsche Audi dealership in Ventura, CA as a new car in 1979. As you flip through the invoices you see $2,000 here, $1,800 there, another $2,500 here, etc....page after page after page. The file even includes the original window sticker (to preserve the original, a color photocopy is in the window and the actual original is in the hard file.) According to the window sticker, it was shipped into the Volkswagen of America Administration Center in Culver City, California via the Port of Entry at Los Angeles. The submodel code is: 911344. There is a slew of nice original options with which it came, including: Color $980, Option Group A 53 $2,450, Porsche Stereo $500, Power Antenna Right $140, Air Conditioner $920, Electric Sliding Roof $795. The air conditioning on the car blows COLD, and I have never had to have freon gas added. Video 2 of 2: Road Test, Shifting Through All the Gears, Braking Steering... The car shifts through every gear and reverse great, and the brakes feel good and correct. Steering and suspension feel good. The car includes the original Owner's Manuals and case. Also included, two car covers...one weather resistant, designed for outdoor-use, while the other is a thick dust/protective cover for indoor use to guard against dust and garage rash. As has been described in the video, the clutch pedal sits on the floor and it of course shouldn't be in that position -- the pedal is non-operative, so the car will need clutch work. If you are skillful at driving a manual transmission car and have a good feel for cars and understand even a modicum of the mechanical aspects of a transmission, the car can certainly be driven and shifted without exercising the clutch in a pinch. In other words, you can start the car in first gear and gently shift at the right RPM to each successively higher gear without being able to disengage the clutch, and without grinding any gears. One wouldn't normally need to drive a car in that state, but I wanted to show you in the video that it is operational except for whatever causes the clutch pedal to be sunk. I bought the car with the clutch pedal in that position and never made any attempt to fix it or get it fixed. The clutch doesn't slip and, according to the service records, the plates were replaced at 140,000 miles, so maybe the clutch cable broke or some other mechanism that ties the pedal to the clutch itself -- in any case, it'll have to be corrected. This is a nearly 32 year old car and there are nicks and scratches as you'd expect. It was clearly well taken care of. The seats are in excellent condition and supple, and and the rest of the interior is extremely nice as well...door panels, rear window sill, floormats, floors, etc. There is a 2-inch long seam separating on the inner right-thigh of the driver's seat which is hardly visible but I took a close-up photo of it. Please watch the entire videos below as very briefly you'll get a chance to "know" me and more importantly I will walk you through the car and show you a road test. There is one tiny spot of rust near the battery, about the size of two U.S.-quarter dollars (quarters) put together, and there is a paint chip on the right rear fender. There is an unused really nice Bentley Service Manual included with the car. -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- NO MINIMUM BID -- THE TOP BIDDER WINS Every single light that this car has works, including turn signals, dash lights, courtesy lights (in bonnet, and inside cabin), wipers work, horn works, etc. Use the combination of the photos, videos and text for full disclosure, with more emphasis on the photos and videos as the description is not intended to be exhaustive.
