Must sell! I have a balloon payment coming up on my house in the next twenty days so the Javelin has got to go. It is a 1973 with a freshly rebuilt 727 torgueflite transmission. It shifts gears very fast. 360 amc engine has lots of power. We bought it in 2007 and since than have added a few new parts. It has 4 new shocks, a new master cylinder, pitman arm, battery etc. It has big 50's on the back. We have taken it to many car shows and did win a trophy last year. It took top 15 but hey, it is still a trophy. Really don't want to sell it but paying the balloon payment and not having a house payment anymore seems a little more important. This car needs a little work here and there. The heater doesn't work and I never had it fixed because we never drive it in the fall and winter. It is always garage kept. The speedometer cable needs to be replaced. The tachometer doesn't work in the instrument cluster and the instrument cluster is very dimly lit. It is slugish to start after the engine is hot. I was told it might be the timing or the starter is too hot from the headers. It has always started up fine after 15 minutes. The paint is also cracking in a couple spots around the windows. It still looks ok though but in time it will need to be restored again. The car isn't in mint condition. For the age I would say very good condition. The car is starting at a great price, it is less than I paid for it. I am going to need a $500.00 deposit within 24 hours and the balance to be paid before the 5th of November. That is when my balloon is due. I can store the car until spring or summer if you can't pick it up right away. Please do not bid if you do not intend to purchase the vehicle. But it doesn't say AMX on the title.
