this auction is for a 1955 ford fairlane. club sedan. (two door sedan.) let me start by saying that i purchased this vehical on ebay about a month ago. i purchased it because it was advertised as having a BOSS 351 engine. it dose not. (i needed a true boss 351 engine) the engine is what used to be refered to as a street boss. it has a 1972 351c HO, 4-bolt main block. the heads are 1970 BOSS 302 part numbers DOZE-A and both are date coded OA19. (see pictures) motor has a 351 torquer intake and REAL boss 302 valve covers. i removed the valve covers and the top side of the heads look super. no sludge. clean as new. engine has factory cast exhaust manifolds and duel exhaust. appears to have a bit of a cam as it has a lope. starts and runs well. no smoke and no oil leaks. trans is a C6 automatic. shifts well. kick down lever is attached. it has a tranny cooler installed as well as an electric fan. i let it idel for 20 minutes and it stayed at 190 degrees. . the body has what appears to be new or near new paint. over all it is a solid car. trunk and floors look real good. outside body appear soild with a small amount of filler present. rear end is original as is the front end. nothing was cut or butchered when this engine and trans was installed. it could go back to original VERY easiley.all trim is present and in good condition. there is MUCH extra trim and parts that go with this auction. interior is in real good condition. all add on guages work factory gages are disconected. this car could use some wiring upgrades as the wiring is mostly original 1955. title has been applied for. winning bidder will recieve a clear N.C. i hope to have it by the end of the auction. if not you WILL recieve it as soon as i do. title is guaranteed!! .boss 302 heads are going for $2000 a pair. engine and trans are worth about $4000 by them self. you do the math. delivery is possiable for $1.50 a mile, time perminting. any questions call my cell as i will be out of town most of this week. thanks for looking, Dick (919) 622-0815
