Vehicle Detail
i can not call anyone back if numbers are sent. i dont have access to a phone tonight. - Saturday nught RELIST: winning bidder had not paid the 48 hour deposit and did not communicate with seller. I have lowered the starting price on this no reserve auction. This is a complete 1969 MGB GT project car in descent shape. There is some rust but very manageable, see pictures and description. Car has only been started a few times since 1992. * wow * Saturday the 23rd. 33 watchers no bids. if it doesnt sell here at that price (30 day pick up) i'll seriously be looking to sell my cars elsewhere. This car will be parted out otherwise and NOT HERE! Odometer reads 19509 but must be 119509 although it has sat for 18 years so who knows. I havent looked at the pedals or anything to determine a low mailage car. It has sat so long I diont think it matters. Im selling for a friend so you get his signed clear title only. 1969 MGB GT Mk2 project car, RARE barn find, not running for last 10 yrs, looks all original drive tran, center console is removed and cracked comes with car see pictures. Oil in engine looks to be overfilled but used and has NO sign of water. I have not done research on the transmission other than looking at it and noting that it is there. Drive train is intact and there. Front end looks good and the tire wear looks even. Air cleaners, tail light lenses and rear emblems NOT included with sale. They are missing. 1969 MGB GT race history: http://www.mgexperience.net/motorsport/historic.php Around hood and fenders no rust, quarters no rust, one spot of rust on one door see pic, trunk lid has rust across under window, some rust in trunk pan see pictures. Comes with key, wires wheels and spare wire wheel. The undercarriage looks good as I figure because the car sat and hasn't drove for possible 18 years due to the registration last being 1992. There is a bend in the hood cross-member where the hood latches to. I don't see any other front damage under or over the front bumper see pictures. Front seats: passenger seat is in nice condition. I dint see any rips. Drivers seat is ripped in a few spots, rear seat is in trunk. The rear trunk area has a piece of plywood for a cover that has a hinge and lifts. There was sound dampening material placed in the trunk area that seemed to hold moisture, this caused some heavy surface rust. I'm not sure if there is any threw rust. I didn't see any. But it is untouched and untreated. ask me for more picture by sending me your email address. Headliner is in good condition except for some of the trim that has peeled back a little. There is a custom radio box installed under dash. Car has no battery in the car. Bumpers have some pitting and rust but are real straight except for a very slight bend on the rt front and hard to notice the rear bumper is straight but has very very light dings in the center both are hard to see. . Car comes with 2 California Blue Plates. Believed to be original. The CA blue plate came out in 1970 but I figure this car first sold late in 1969 or early 1970. It looks like the car had been repainted in the past as there is peeling paint. It will need new paint. the grille has some ripples at the top left section see picture. It looks like it would work for a restoration. Commission Number is: G 23 D 01663 P Engine block PAT No. : 585394 is all I can find on the top front of the engine block. I have not looked it to that further. The clear title signed off in 2001 with a letter from that seller stating that the car is in NON-OPERATIONAL status. The registration tags are 1992. Does not run, is a complete restoration project. I have not tried to start it as I have no time to do so. I understand that it last ran 10 years ago in 2001 and stalled and never attempted to restate and run again. Before 2001 it was not registered after 1992 so it may not have run but the once or a few times in 18 years. Collectible classic car. Looks to have original California Blue Plates, is a northern California Car and is believed to have been here it's entire life. Title: winning bidder receives the signed off title from 2001 and letter station that the car was in non-operation status with DMV 2001 from same seller. No new registered owner information is yet filled out on the back of your Clear California title. That is where you will fill out your information to register the car at your DMV. Winning bidder is responsible for all shipping charges and arrangements. Winning bidder must pick up, have picked up or moved in 30 days from close of auction. If item/car is not picked up within 30 days of close of auction buyer(winning bidder) agrees to pay $150. per month storage fee.
