Vehicle Detail
Bought to fully restore, but can no longer afford to do so :( Mom and I have to part with this car. I don't know a ton on it, we got it from a distant uncle that had it for a while. We have a clear title and the motor cranked with just a little gas, no smoke even on the first start. The interior is mostly good, some restoration work has been done, but I'm honestly not sure what all has been done. The driver side seat has a small tear, and there is also a small tear on the dash pad, otherwise sun visors, door panels, rear seat, all glass in the car, everything seems to be in great condition! We looked around the trunk and door jams, not noticing any rust. Just with college expenses we can no longer afford to finish up our dream car. The engine will need new plugs and plugwires as an animal of some sort chewed on them, but not to the point of breaking or grounding anything out. I was told that it would need rear brakes before being driven, but being my uncle he may have just been overly cautious. The car is currently at a local mechanic who was going to help restore for us, he is very experienced with high performance builds on motors. With a newly rebuilt 350ci motor, just some time that it has been sitting there, and as we all know, if you're not going to be driving it, or restoring it, it's just best off getting rid of it, as it will be 3-4 years before we are within the means of fixing it up like we would want to. The mechanic did a VIN crosscheck and told us that the car is originally Maroon with black interior and a V6 car, but as I mentioned it has a like new 350 V8 inside. He also mentioned that the valve covers were quite collectible, belonging to a certain older model Corvette instead of a Camaro, he said it was the best set that he had. Any more questions I can try to answer, sadly we didn't know what we were getting into, and have come to the realization that restoration just isn't the best way for us to get a classic car. With only a little more work I think this would be quite nice, but we just no longer have the funds to do it. We have a new Saginaw shift kit, and some more items that I'm not sure of, maybe a console of some type and the rubber boot, what we have tho will go with the car, there's nothing we can do with it without a car to put it on. Also with the odometer, as with any classic car, this is more than likely incorrect. The reading the I provided was what I remember it reading, but it could be well away from that actually. And only having 5 whole digits, that very easily could be 138,000. Shipping would be best done by pickup, either by trailer, or by professional hauler, and of course would be the buyer's responsibility.Due to our limited knowledge we have to sell this car AS-IS. We cannot make any guarantees.Payment would need to be made within 7 days of auction close. On Oct-18-10 at 07:58:16 PDT, seller added the following information: New information: Vin # 123378n466017712 trimmm paint
