This is a 1974 volkswagen super beetle with 74,000 orignal miles, manual transmission, the car is pretty solid - there is rust under the car - most of it is solid but there is small rust holes, where the battery goes is rotted from a broken battery and acid spill, the car has been repainted at one time and is in very good shape, the paint has some stone chips, a few scratches, has a dent on the back of the car near the exhaust outlet, the paint is very glossy and looks good, tires are very good and hold their air, interior needs some cleaning up but in very good shape, drivers door outside handel is broke, theres a dent on the front fender - passenger side, antenna is broke, windows all work, lights work, radio turns on but I only get static, gauges work, the car sat in a barn for about 7 years the way it is - the car will need some finishing up to make it well again. I aired the tires up, put a battery in it, some fresh feul and tried to start, it did start with the choke held on so I drove it down the road and everything seems to be working fine and then I parked it, the carb has some problems but the motor does run and sound fine but has carb troubles that will need to be worked out, the car will need to be trailered home, I would suggest that people come see the car and hear it run before buying it or atleast talk to me on the phone more about the car 1-419-452-6120 my name is Dan, Ask lots of questions and please call me ! When you come to pick it up you will here it run and see that I have to hold the choke shut and it runs fine until the car warms up and then I try to shut the the choke off and it dies, I think it just needs a new carburator or this one gone through better, it is carburator troubles only and the motor runs fine otherwise. I haven't the time to deal with it, I just need to get rid of the car.
