Vehicle Detail
200,000+ MILES. Mechanicals - Engine starts easily, runs smooth. Leaks a bit of oil (drips, not puddles), so you'll want to check it regularly so you don't get the oil pressure alarm and light. We use 40 weight oil in it. Manual transmission is good, but the gear shifter has a lot of play in it. (It takes a little while to get used to it.) The odometer broke years ago, but the vehicle has over 200,000 miles on it. The tires have plenty of tread on them. The catalytic converter is new and it passed smog in the past 3 weeks. Exterior - NO RUST! NO BONDO! Minor dents and scratches. 2 small chips in windshield (can be repaired). Bumpers are a bit cracked, but fully functional. All of the locks work. We just had the van detailed, and it has a little shine on it. The struts on the rear hatch are shot, so you need a stick to hold it open. Interior - Seats 7, all with seatbelts, front with shoulder restraints. Fold up table in the back. AM/FM radio with cassette player. Carpeting is in pretty bad shape (stains). Upholstery is in pretty good shape. Some broken accessories (cupholders, one overhed light). The air conditioning hasn't worked since we've had the car, but it may only need a freon charge. We don't know. It's fun to drive, and handles well for a van. We need to sell it because we've moved to an apartment where we only have two parking spaces (and currently three vehicles). "Rockwell" would make a great surfmobile. Probably not good for long road trips.
