Vehicle Detail
Hi all, This is my 1995 Nissan Maxima. I bought it from the original owner in 2005, and with just a little routine scheduled maintenance she has never let me down. It would make a wonderful cheap daily driver or commuter car, or a peppy starter car. The original owner was an older investment broker, and kept meticulous records of every cent and service put into the car. I still have all his service records, and they come with the car, along with the owners manual, full size spare!!!, and Haynes Manual he gave me. Since I acquired it, I have done the following: Aquired ~94k*New* Aftermarket Panasonic 8Disc CD changer, with radio and cassette.*New* OEM Clutch at 96k *New* Knock Sensor and Sensor Harness(wire) at 110k*New* Ignition Coils and *New* Fuel injectors with *New* NGK Spark plugs at 110k (routine, though many never need to replace, originals included)*New* Belts at 110k (Original included as emergency spare)*New* Stainless Steel Exhaust and Y-Pipe by Cattman Performance at 120k (It is NOT large or obnoxious, but makes the car more responsive and I have noticed maybe 0.5mpg gain. Looks and Sounds comparable to stock Zcars)*New* Brake Pads and Rotors (Fronts and Rears serviced at separate times as needed)*New* Bridgestone Tires 130k, still lots of life!!!*New* 4x Expensive Alpine Speakers, they sound AWESOME (I would take them out, but they are difficult to install and remove, your win!) I changed plugs(15k) and Oil (Castrol GTX5w-30 and Mobile One Filters every 3k) regularly, even though the plugs typically last a long time. Many original parts are included, as well as some spare emissions parts a friend gave me from his Maxima when it was hit (in case I would need them as my car aged). I have used this car to get to work everyday, finish college, and now get to work again! I was never going to sell it, but I got a new job opportunity so the wife and I moved to the city. We only need one car now... the wife does not want to drive stick downtown, and I don't want to park my car in the suburbs where no one will care for her, so my baby must go. For those unfamiliar with the Nissan Maxima, the SE package was the sports package and included upgraded suspension components, stiffer sway bars, and wide sport tires on 15" alloy rims. It is often called the 'Poor Man's BMW'. In general, this generation Maximas are rather fast because they are much lighter then newer models. Rated conservatively at 190HP and with plenty of torque, the Maxima can keep up with todays flashy cars no problem, even loaded with passengers up a hill. Especially the manual models, which in addition to being a blast to drive, get excellent milage for a V6. I often get 24+mpg around town and closer to 30 on trips where I can use cruise control. I have used this car on many long distance trips in addition to my daily commute, and she is a joy to take anywhere. The 5 speed shifts great into every gear, and clutch goes in/out smooth. No slipping at all. Brakes stop smooth, and stop hard if you need them to. Sunroof flips up and goes back. Drivers seat is 6way power with lumbar support. All the driver/passenger windows go up and down. All power locks work, as does the factory security system. Headlight bulbs were upgraded to something a little brighter than stock, but I forget the milage. Car comes with two keys and two working remotes, though one has been sitting and may need a fresh battery. Paint it starting to showing its age, fading clear-coat which is typical of these cars. The car has current PA inspection until 4/2010. Passes PA Emissions testing with flying colors each year; copies of the past tests are in the glove box. I am starting the auction below the Kelly Blue Book "Fair Condition" since the car is used and being sold as-is, however it is in better then 'Fair Condition' standards. Car is also for sale locally, and I reserve to end/cancel auction at anytime. PA Title is clear and in my name. Out of state buyers please email me before bidding. Cash due in full on pickup, buyer responsible for pickup unless arranged with me prior to bidding. Have fun bidding, and please ask any questions you may have. Relisted due to buyer who never followed up (ebay wont let me call them a deadbeat). Do not bid if you have 0 history, thanks.
