Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is beautiful 96 Impala SS Show stopper - Show winner! This unique Impala has, for most of its life, been a show car, and a national show winner. This car won the Chevy Nationals; in it's class, three years in a row. The car was featured in Super Chevy Magazine, and made the cover of Impala Magazine. This car also won the NASSO championship. In recent years, the car has only been shown locally, but always places high, if not at the top. I've owned the car for about three and a half years. This car draws the looks and compliments everywhere you go. I am the second owner, but the original owner is a close friend, so if there is some history I don't know, I can find out. This Impala is a very mild custom, powered by a 5.7 liter LT1 V8. There is an under drive pulley, and a K&N intake. SLP headers and exhaust let the engine breathe, and provides the perfect throaty sound. The rear-end has been upgraded to 373 gearing. It gets up and goes a bit quicker, but doesn't compromise the road-ability or gas mileage. There has been a shift kit installed, for a good clean, strong shift. The only other modification is a custom built proportional valve on the brake system. Anyone who knows the Impala, knows they go quick, but tend to dive in the front-end when braking. This proportional valve evens out the braking. No dive, no handling problems. The look and ride are completed with American Racing, polished aluminum, dragon wing wheels, and BF Goodrich Competition T/A tires, and custom sequential turn signals. Finally, the car has a custom "fade in", dark burgundy, flame paint job. In the evening, the flames only show when hit by the light just right, and the sun really brings them out. The breather cover carries the matching paint. As you can see in the pictures, the engine is finished out with plenty of polished aluminum, braided or polished lines, and custom painted reservoirs. The hood and trunk deck are detailed with Impala SS designed sound suppression pads and a custom tire cover. The Impala SS customs continue in the interior of the car, with polished threshold covers, radio cover, and SS floor mats. The carpet was replaced with Cadillac Seville carpet, for a plusher feel. There is no waranty expressed or implied. The buyer is responsible for shipping cost. Payment is due, in full, within 5 days of the end of auction. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. Do not bid if you can't pay! Have your financing in hand prior to bidding. Thanks for looking, and enjoy bidding! You will not be disapointed in this car!On Oct-12-10 at 10:05:26 PDT, seller added the following information: Just added..... I spent this past weekend at the “Hunnert Car Pile-up” I saw some incredible cars and trucks. Lots of stuff for sale, and lots of project ideas. Unfortunately, I need to thin the stable before getting into another project. I simply don’t have enough room. In that spirit, I’ve lowered the reserve. Take a look at the other 96’ Impala SS currently on e-bay. This car is now priced lower than anything else that would be even close to comparable. If you’re serious about owning one of the nicest Impalas around, please bid with confidence. This car is everything you want, and I am serious about selling it!
