Hear is a nice little 1964 Corvair. It has 87497 miles on it. It was driven mostly by my friend's daughter as a school car. They stopped driving it a couple of years ago after she bought a new car. It runs, drives, stops, fine. As it has been setting for two years the gas smells old, the brakes needed fluid, and the tires were a bit low on air. We bled the brakes, stuck a used battery in it and cleaned the air filters. Aired up the tires and started it right up. Please under stand the condition I want to disclose all I know about the car. And if you have questions I haven't address please ask. The very best parts of the car are the front and back bumpers that were installed new a few years back, and still look great. It has had a 4 speed installed in it, and it works great. A little hard to find reverse but that's normal for Corvair. It originally came with a 3 speed. It has 2 Weber carburetors on it. That was a high dollar aftermarket add on. The 4 speed alone is worth the asking price. What I know is wrong with the car. The paint is very thin, almost gone. It was a bad repaint brown over the original blue/green. There is rust on the bottom of both front fenders, down by the rockers and starting on the door bottoms. There is a dent in the left rear quarter, as well as some small dents elsewhere. Other than the carpet which is fair the rest of the interior is in need of repair. The seat springs and padding is in good shape but the seat covers and door panels are dried out. Headliner is coming apart, right sun visor is missing. Although the brakes work OK they have been sitting and should be checked. The engine runs good and appears strong it dose leak a little oil out the push rod tubes. Another Corvair bad habit. Tires are thin on the rear, all hold air bur have some age on them. There is no rust through on the floor but there is surface rust especially near gas pedal. The weather stripping is old and dried up and I think the doors leak a little when it rains. It would be a great project car for a youngster. or a super parts car for a Corvair nut. Or use it to build a super sand buggy. Remember NO RESERVE first bid takes it home. Buyer is responsible for pickup. Well help load on transport for free.
