Vehicle Detail
I have a very nice, and excellent running ST 1100 for sale with very few miles. I have been riding this bike since April of this year. I got the bike with 8200 miles. It now has 13,549, I just took the bike on a 2600 mile trip to the smokey mountains and the blue ridge parkway. The bike is getting between 45-55 mpg, depending on speed and if I'm riding solo or not. The bike was painted silver a couple years back. They did a great job. It was a profesional paint job. Its silver with a very nice metalic that looks great in the sun. It has Avon tires on it. They have a couple thousand miles left on them. I have changed the oil on it twice since I've had it, synchronized the carbs, and new rear brakes. The temperature gauge has a mind of its own. It will go into the red just before the fan kicks on. I have replaced the thermostate and temp sensor, and it made no difference. So I bought an infered thermometer and it is infact NOT overheating. I am 6'3, so I have instaled a set of bar risers made by Rox. They raise the bars around 5 inches. I have also instaled a set of lowering pegs for the driver. Its pictured with a Russell Day long seat made in California( around $900 seat). The stock seat will come on it. I rode 750 miles home from West Virginia and had NO butt pain from the seat. I have also purchased a clearview smoked windscreen for the bike. I think that was around $300. I have also instaled a 12volt cigarette lighter onto the left saddle bag to charge up my cell phone and ipod. The bike runs out great, and I really hate to see it go, but I just dont have the time or the money to enjoy it the way I should. It doesnt use a drop of oil. I have also changed the differential fluid, and removed the rear wheel and lubed the splines. Its a great bike, you wont be dissapointed. I have also put a rear top box on the bike. The box doesnt match the color of the bike perfectly, but its close. The box can be removed in about 2 minutes. Theres just 4 bolts and thats it. The box has a backrest for the passenger. My reserve is very low for what your getting. I will possibly deliver the bike for a fee as long as its within a couple hundred miles of Columbia, MO. If you have any questions, please contact me at 573-819-0055. Please no emails. I have a clear MO title in hand. On Oct-08-10 at 15:15:48 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had a lot of people ask about the service records... It only has 13,000 miles, so I dont think there is too many service records to obtain. I know at 3k miles the oil still looks new and doesnt use a drop, so I assume the previous owner changed the oil regularly as I have. The bike looks much better in person than these picture show. I took them with my phone.
