Vehicle Detail
1976 MGB. Runs drives great. 1.8 4cyl and 4spd stick shift w overdrive. 35-45 MPG Weber Carb and aftermarket header. Very fun to drive and reliable. I wouldnt hesitate to drive it anywhere. 5 brand new matching tires New brakes No overheating. No draws or shorts. All lights and turn signals work. In pretty good shape. Not perfect but great for a daily driver. Paint is decent. Interior is in good shape w some tears on drivers seat. All gauges except speedo work. Really nice Rosewood wheel. Top less than one year old. No A/C but it does have heat. Lots of new parts. Does need front kingpins. I will replace these after purchase for an additional fee if the buyer would like. Clear title On Oct-04-10 at 10:40:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Its been a long time since I sold anything on ebay and I forgot that I need to be a bit more specific in my description. I want the buyer to be happy with the purchase and not regret it. Ive been there to many times. Im going to add some higher res photos and break down the car in categories. Mechanical: Car runs and drives good. I have taken it all over town and in dessert heat bumper to bumper traffic. It never overheated. I would do a basic tune up/fluid changes before taking it on a really long trip. If the buyer wants to pay for basic tune up parts I'll install them for free. Brakes are new but they are a lower quality so sometimes they squeak. The most major problem with the car is the King pin bushings. The front end has play as a result of them being bad. Its noticeable particularly in bumps and high speeds. Again if a buyer wants to supply parts I will replace them for a small fee. I am a mechanic by trade and I can do anything the buyer would want prior to pick up or after sale. Ive sold some cars that guys have flown in and driven out. I dont mind going through it beforehand. Exterior: The paint is definitely a repaint. It looks like a single stage paint that was not buffed out enough. It looks fine to me but to give it a real bright shine it will need to be buffed. There is some small paint cracks around the front of the hood were it flexes. There is one small body crack up by the passenger side rear view mirror about 1/2-3/4 of an inch long. Looks like an easy fix. No major dents. I havent spotted any bondo or evidence of any accidents. Doors open and close like the should. On of the headlight trim rings has a few dings in it. Im trying to make it sound worse than it is. It actually is a good looking car. Interior: Interior is mostly all original. The seats are in decent shape. Drivers side has some tears in it. Passenger side is better. Carpet is there on the trans tunnel and behind the seats but the front were your feet go is only the MG mats with some aftermarket carpet underneath. Dash has typical cracks on top. Door panels are there and whole but they could use a cleaning. Id say its a daily driver condition. All glass is good. Side windows go up and down fine. Top is less than a year old with no rips or tears. Steering wheel is new and feels great when driving. It comes with a cover to put over the interior when its parked. and some small misc parts.
