I have owned this vehicle since 1997. I am selling as I haven't used it for the past 3 summers. My ex husband maintained the vehicle for me and did a lot of work on the engine, I don't know exactly what he did but he spent many hours working on it. ( He used to maintain helicopters in the Navy and was an accomplished auto mechanic) The last time that he drove it he said that it was going to need a new clutch. We then separated and the clutch never got replaced. I bought a house which I have been remodeling for the past couple of years and couldn't afford to put any money into the Land Rover. It has quite a lot of dents and missing paint so isn't the prettiest vehicle around, but it used to run brilliantly, never broke down on me and it always started first time. I haven't tried starting it up in 3 years and did try charging the battery but it wouldn't hold a charge, so it will need a new one. The roof and doors come off and the windshield will lay flat so it is a really fun summer car to have. I only ever drove it in the summer and didn't put many miles on to it at all. The brakes , turn signals and heater all worked on it, the front seats have rips in them and it doesn't have any back seats and it is also missing the drivers side door handle and the spare tire.
