1955 Willys Jeep CJ-5 1st Year of the CJ-5 Body off Immaculate Restoration Absolutely Beautiful Jeep Visit the link Below for 73 more Pictures http://www.flickr.com/photos/42952603@N03/sets/72157625085142976/ You are bidding on a 1955 Willys CJ-5 that has been completely restored, and is in absolutely beautiful condition. Restoration was completed 2 years ago, and has been stored in a heated garage ever since, only to be driven to car shows and for a cruise around town on sunny days. Please read below for a complete description of the different parts of the Willys CJ-5. Drive train Rebuilt 134 Hurricane Overhead engine, (not Flathead). Engine was rebuilt before I bought the jeep and runs amazing, no smoking, runs great, sounds great, and has never acted like it has any problems, RUNS GREAT. Transmission is a T-90 3 speed with original transfer case. All new universal joints, and all new bearing in both axles. Body 1st year CJ-5. All Original Body Parts, Except New Willy’s Stamped Tailgate. All body parts completely stripped to bare metal, primered with epoxy primer twice, and then meticulously block sanded for a nice smooth finish on each panel. Paint is Viper Silver and the hood hinges and latches are new, but the original hinges and latches do come with the Jeep and are already painted. Also have the original hardtop hardware already painted. Brand New windshield, and all related weather stripping. Atlas gas cap. Undercarriage Professionally primered and undercoated for a excellent black finish that was designed to last and extremely long time, and still looks like new. The exhaust system is completely new and was designed just like it was in 1955. Suspension All new leaf springs identical to the originals, brand new shocks, new brakes and drums, all new correct Original Willy’s brake lines, bran new fuel lines front to back, new complete shackles, and new rubber bumpstops. Interior Orignial Willys Gauge. Original front seats, back seat is from a newer model. All seats have been professionally recovered using the same material and the front and rear seats match perfectly. The entire interior floor and tub area has been covered in bed liner, as well as the tailgate which was sprayed very neatly for nice crisp edges on the interior side of tailgate and looks excellent, still shining like the day it was sprayed on, nice texture and color in all of tub. Brand New gas tank, new glove box, new Tiger Top, have a center console brand new in the box, 3 speed High and Low, NO PTO. Backup light switch neatly mounted in the PTO shifter location. Wiring New 12 volt 18 Fuse box wiring system, New signal, hazard, and turn selector switches, new steering wheels, new 12 volt wiper motors, 6 volt starter, 12 volt alternator, and 12 volt solenoid. Lights Original round tail lights, backup light in the PTO hole position, front head lights are black dot tri-bar headlights, and front park lights are new amber lights, lenses and all. Frame Completely sand blasted and coated with POR 15, and still looks like it was just done. New original bumpers, original rear hitch (not Installed), absolutely no rust, looks brand new. Engine Compartment Completely painted to match engine compartment, Chrome head lights brackets, All original decal stickers, original oil batch air cleaner system, original frame filter assembly, new carburetor (have the original also), and the original brass radiator that has been polished. Tires New 6.00-16LT’s Wheels Original 5 Wheels spare included, glass beaded and painted the same color silver to match the Jeep. Hubs Dulamatic hubs, and ball bearings are in perfect condition. Also have original hardtop and full doors(un-restored but in Good condition), rear hitch, original hinges and latches(painted), Speedometer but have a new speedo from JC whitney also. The jeep does have 3 small scratches on it as the paint job is a couple years old, but in no way affect the integrity of this Willys Jeep. The original carburetor was actually discarded a few years ago because it was no good. I thought I still may have it, but the past few days I remembered that I had gotten rid of it because it was not good for use. With that said, the auction also stated the Jeep had three scratches on it. Since I started the auction, I have had those scratches professionally repaired, so the scratches are no longer present on the Jeep, and the paint still looks beautiful. Thank You Very Much
