this is a 1968 mustang convertible that my neighbor bought, and has decided not to do anything with it. it was purchased from the original owner, as also stated on the title, and was financed through ford motor credit and paid off in 1968. title. the title matches the owners name also in the owners manual. the car was parked since 1994. from what i understand was that the shifter button on the top would not engage, so they stopped driving it. my neighbor picked it up, and he could not get the button to push in from so many years, he just pulled the driveshaft and hauled it on his trailer. it was covered with a tarp, but did not help much. the dash is heat warped, and needs seat covers also. the drivers door needs a hing, as it is a little loose, but doors shut perfect with no gaps, as does the hood and the trunk. i brought it over to my house, but a battery in it after checking the oil, primed it, and it started, but was pulling the old gas and smelled bad, but while running, power steering was working, as were the gauges. i ran it for about 30 seconds. all the glass is good, and top folds up and down good. has a nice console in the car also. when the battery was in, the lights came on, and when the door was open, interior lights were also working, even console rear light. brakes stop the car very good. the driver floor pan is very solid, but passenger side is rusted on the edge, front and back. rust cracks over rear wheels, and needs patch behind drivers and passenger rear wheel. original rims and hubcaps. car showing about 83,000 original miles. has turn signals in hood also. this would be a great car to restore, or drop a v8 in it, or shelby clone. either way, its complete, and could be running in a few hours. good colors of red and black.
