You are bidding on a very nice, mostly original, unrestored, stately 1957 Cadillac Fleetwood Limousine with only 53,000 original miles. This limo has been sitting in a warehouse for over 25 years. This is 1 of 890 made with the power divider window. Car runs and drives but has no brakes.Video at YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZnDIrxW5PcOptions on this car are… power steering, power brakes, power windows, a/c, power seat, power divider window, power antenna and autotronic eye. The Body is nice and straight with some light scratches and a couple of door dings and an area down low just in front of the rear wheel passenger side that is just showing signs of rust under the paint. The weatherstripping is in decent shape but has areas where it is worn out. When I washed it, none of the windows nor the trunk leaked water. The exterior was washed only, nothing further was done to the exterior paint. Over all the paint is shiny and straight but will most likely need repainting. Not sure how thick the paint is for buffing it out. It will definitely help if you want to keep the original patina. The bumpers are nice and straight with no major damage or rust except the bottom around the exhaust. They are pitted lightly and have scratches. They will need to be rechromed but good enough for the driver look. YES I do have the front grill and all the front hood latch attachment pieces and both horns. The Interior is nice and still looks VERY NICE. It is in driver/survivor condition. It does need to be cleaned and restored. Someone had gotten some mud in the car at some point. All glass is in great shape. The glass is factory tinted only, not limo tint. The front power windows work, but I have not been able to get the rears to work. The power window divider does work. The headliner is in very nice shape, no rips, no tears, no sagging – just a few minor areas of discoloration. Interior Rear: The rear passenger section is two-tone tan/beige and is in really nice condition. The rear dash (area behind the driver’s seat) wood is in good shape but has two areas on both sides of the clock that appear to have had something approximately 2”x4” glued there – probably the chauffeur’s license. The spots might be able to be removed. There is some minor pitting on the chrome – which should polish up well. The jump seats and rear seat are in very nice shape. There appears to be some minor moth damage in a few areas - nothing major. The armrests are good. Most of the fabric stitching and embroidery are in really nice shape. Even the windlace is very nice. The rear package tray is somewhat warped from moisture. Overall the rear is in very nice condition, just needs some detail work and minor interior work but could be just left alone. Interior Front: The front seat is black – it appears to be leather. It is in pretty nice shape – no rips or tears. However, it is very dirty and it needs to be cleaned and restored. The chrome around the seats is in nice shape but needs to be cleaned and restored. The door panels are intact but are warped from moisture. They might be salvageable if steamed. Neither clock seem to work. The radio doesn't seem to work either. There is an aftermarket 8-track player installed in the glovebox. The dash pad is nice, no rips or tears, but it is warped from moisture. It could probably be repaired relatively easily. The dash gauge lens, speedometer, lettering, and chrome are all in very nice shape. There are no scratches on the lens. The steering wheel is in excellent condition – no cracks or damage. The horn contact works, but there are no horns installed so there is no way to test it. The power seat does work. It does have seat belts in the front and rear that appear to be factory seat belts. Lights, wipers, front windows, fuel gauge, brake light in dash, all work. Door locks and trunk locks work. The Engine I believe is a 365 ci. with 4 barrel. Engine runs and idles good. No leaks, smoke, any unusual noises or over heat. The A/C compressor spins freely but I didn't check to see if it is still holding refrigerant or if it works. I did drive it around and it runs good, steers fine, and transmission seems fine for the limited driving I could do with it. Again there are NO BRAKES. NOTE: The fuel line from the gas tank has been disconnected and now pumps from a temporary fuel tank under the hood. You can get a couple minutes of run time before you have to refill the tank. This is enough to get it on a trailer or transporter with out winching it. The Undercarriage is in good condition. No major rust. Floor and frame look to be in great shape as well as the trunk. Back side of the bumpers look pretty much rust free. Exhaust is bad in places and it needs a new muffler. Car sits level, no obvious suspension problems. Other info: Car comes with clear Ohio title with the notation… “Warning Odometer Discrepancy” The owner passed away and the original title was never located. The State of Ohio has inspected the vehicle and reissued title but they will not verify mileage so the warning is placed on the title. I have no reason to believe this car has any more miles then what the odometer says, which is 53,911. Also included is one set of factory keys. Looks all the factory jack pieces are still intact. We have been contracted to prepare them for auction and then direct the sale thru the Ohio Probate Court. No auctions will be ended early or sidestepped. There will be no side deals or trades. We were told that all of them ran and drove when they were parked in storage. However, that was several decades ago. We have no other knowledge of the history of these vehicles. We have made an attempt to see if the motor runs within minimal monetary and time budgets. Our listing represents the best of our knowledge obtained from transporting, cleaning and evaluating the vehicle – but there are no guarantees.
