You are bidding on 1989 BMW R100GS Bumblebee that has been well cared for and is in very good condition with only normal signs of wear that come with 11,000 miles of street riding over 21+ years. I believe I am the third owner (the second owner worked for a vintage BMW dealer in Atlanta and simply bought and quickly sold). I do not believe the bike has ever been off roaded or dropped and there is no unusual damage or wear to report. It starts and runs flawlessly as you would expect from a BMW that is just beginning to break in. The bike received a new (not rebuilt) OEM speedometer in November of 2008. Mileage of the old and new speedos are reflected in the pictures and actual vehicle mileage can be calculated by adding the two readings plus roughly 50 miles driven on the broken speedo. Other extras include a nearly new leather Corbin custom seat (the original seat is included as well in good condition with the exception of a rip), a new BMW battery in June 2010, a Parabellum "Sport" windshield (not installed), and a set of chrome throttlemeister bar ends with throttle lock feature. If you have been looking for a GS airhead you will have a hard time finding another one this nice.
